Inserted: (b) Emergency Designation.--For purposes of Senate enforcement, the amount made available for fiscal year 2009 under section 1011(a)(1) of the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act of 2003 (42 U.S.C. 1395dd note), as amended by this section, is designated as an emergency requirement and necessary to meet emergency needs pursuant to section 403 of S. Con Res. 13 (111th Congress), the concurrent resolution on the budget for fiscal year 2010.

SEC. __. EXTENSION OF FEDERAL REIMBURSEMENT OF EMERGENCY HEALTH SERVICES FURNISHED TO UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS.
(a) In General.--Section 1011(a)(1) of the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act of 2003 (42 U.S.C. 1395dd note) is amended by striking “2008” and inserting “2009”.
