Mr. VITTER submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill H.R. 2996, making appropriations for the Department of the Interior, environment, and related agencies for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2010, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:
On page 240, between lines 13 and 14, insert the following:
SEC. 423. PROHIBITION ON USE OF FUNDS TO DEVELOP REGIONAL CLIMATE CHANGE OFFICES.
No funds made available by this Act may be used to develop Regional Climate Change offices within the Department of the Interior.
