Inserted: (2) Unless the Secretary of Defense determines that the findings of the studies referred to in paragraph (1) support the procurement of additional C-17 aircraft to meet national defense requirements.

SA 2577. Mr. CORKER submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill H.R. 3326, making appropriations for the Department of Defense for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2010, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:
At the appropriate place, insert the following:
Sec. __. None of the amounts appropriated or otherwise made available by this Act for procurement of C-17 aircraft may be obligated or expended as follows:
