Inserted: SEC. 634. COMMENCEMENT OF RECEIPT OF NON-REGULAR SERVICE RETIRED PAY BY RETIRED MEMBERS OF THE RESERVES ON ACTIVE FEDERAL STATUS OR ACTIVE DUTY FOR SIGNIFICANT PERIODS.
Inserted: (a) Eligibility for Non-regular Service Retired Pay.--Section 12731(f)(2) of title 10, United States Code, is amended--
Inserted: (1) in subparagraph (A), by striking "Ready Reserve" and inserting "Reserves"; and
Inserted: (2) in subparagraph (B)(i), by inserting "or section 688a" after "section 12301(d)".
Inserted: (b) Retroactive Effective Date.--The amendments made by subsection (a) shall take effect as of January 28, 2008, and as if included in the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 (Public Law 110-181) as enacted.

Mr. KOHL submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 1867, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2012 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:
At the end of subtitle C of title VI, add the following:
SEC. 634. COMMENCEMENT OF RECEIPT OF NON-REGULAR SERVICE RETIRED PAY BY RETIRED MEMBERS OF THE RESERVES ON ACTIVE FEDERAL STATUS OR ACTIVE DUTY FOR SIGNIFICANT PERIODS.
