    Inserted: SEC. 1088. ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE.

    Inserted: Section 804(4) of the National Energy Conservation Policy Act (42 U.S.C. 8287c(4)) is amended--

    Inserted: (1) in subparagraph (A), by striking "or" after the semicolon;

    Inserted: (2) in subparagraph (B), by striking the period at the end and inserting "; or"; and

    Inserted: (3) by adding at the end the following:

    Inserted: "(C) a measure to support the use of electric vehicles or the fueling or charging infrastructure necessary for electric vehicles.".

Mr. COONS (for himself, Mrs. Shaheen, and Mr. Portman) submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 1867, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2012 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

At the end of subtitle H of title X, add the following:

SEC. 1088. ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE.

Section 804(4) of the National Energy Conservation Policy Act (42 U.S.C. 8287c(4)) is amended--

(1) in subparagraph (A), by striking “or” after the semicolon;

(2) in subparagraph (B), by striking the period at the end and inserting “; or”; and

(3) by adding at the end the following:

“(C) a measure to support the use of electric vehicles or the fueling or charging infrastructure necessary for electric vehicles.”.
