Mr. LAUTENBERG (for himself and Mr. Kirk) submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 1867, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2012 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:
At the end of subtitle C of title XII, add the following:
SEC. 1243. EXTENSION OF CERTAIN AUTHORITIES RELATING TO REFUGEES.
The Foreign Operations, Export Financing, and Related Programs Appropriations Act, 1990 (Public Law 101-167) is amended as follows:
(1) In section 599D (8 U.S.C. 1157 note)--
(A) in subsection (b)(3), by striking “and 2011” and inserting “2011, and 2102”; and
(B) in subsection (e), by striking “June 1, 2011” each place it appears and inserting “October 1, 2012”.
(2) In section 599E(b)(2) (8 U.S.C. 1255 note), by striking “2011” and inserting “2012”.
