SA 1711. Mr. HATCH submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 1813, to reauthorize Federal-aid highway and highway safety construction programs, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

SEC. __. NONAPPLICATION OF DAVIS-BACON.

The wage-rate requirements of subchapter IV of chapter 31 of part A of subtitle II of title 40, United States Code (commonly referred to as the “Davis-Bacon Act”) shall not apply with respect to any project or program funded with amounts from the Highway Trust Fund.
