Inserted: Section 212(n)(1)(G) (8 U.S.C. 1182(n)(1)(G)), as amended by section 4211(c)(2) of this Act, is further amended by striking clause (iii) and inserting the following:
Inserted: "(iii) has offered the job to any United States worker who applies and is equally or better qualified for the job for which the nonimmigrant or nonimmigrants is or are sought.".

SA 1695. Mr. BROWN (for himself, Mr. Manchin, Mr. Grassley, and Mr. Sessions) submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 744, to provide for comprehensive immigration reform and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:
At the appropriate place, insert the following:
SEC. ___. HIRE QUALIFIED AMERICANS FIRST.
