(j) Coordination With Other Amendments Made by This Act.--For purposes of applying amendments made by provisions of this Act other than this section, the amendments made by subsections (b) through (h) of this section shall be treated as having been enacted immediately before any such amendments by other provisions of this Act.
Inserted: SEC. 1087. ELIGIBILITY FOR INTERMENT IN NATIONAL CEMETERIES OF INDIVIDUALS WHO SUPPORTED UNITED STATES IN LAOS DURING VIETNAM WAR ERA.
Inserted: (a) In General.--Section 2402(a) of title 38, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraph:
Inserted: "(10) Any individual--
Inserted: "(A) who--
Inserted: "(i) was naturalized pursuant to section 2(1) of the Hmong Veterans' Naturalization Act of 2000 (Public Law 106-207; 8 U.S.C. 1423 note); and
Inserted: "(ii) at the time of the individual's death resided in the United States; or
Inserted: "(B) who--
Inserted: "(i) the Secretary determines served with a special guerrilla unit or irregular forces operating from a base in Laos in support of the Armed Forces of the United States at any time during the period beginning February 28, 1961, and ending May 7, 1975; and
Inserted: "(ii) at the time of the individual's death--
Inserted: "(I) was a citizen of the United States or an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the United States; and
Inserted: "(II) resided in the United States.".
Inserted: (b) Effective Date.--The amendment made by subsection (a) shall apply with respect to an individual dying on or after the date of the enactment of this Act.

Ms. MURKOWSKI submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by her to the bill S. 2410, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2015 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:
At the end of subtitle H of title X, add the following:
SEC. 1087. ELIGIBILITY FOR INTERMENT IN NATIONAL CEMETERIES OF INDIVIDUALS WHO SUPPORTED UNITED STATES IN LAOS DURING VIETNAM WAR ERA.
(a) In General.--Section 2402(a) of title 38, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraph:
