Inserted: (1) the Governor of each State in which the children are placed of the number of such children who are being placed in such State, broken down by age and placement county; and
Inserted: (2) the chief law enforcement officer of each county in which the children are placed of the number of such children who are being placed in such county, broken down by age.
Inserted: (b) If an unaccompanied alien child fails to appear at an immigration proceeding that he or she was legally required to attend, the Secretary of Homeland Security shall notify the Governor of the State and the chief law enforcement officer of the county in which such child was temporarily placed of such failure to appear.

SA 3725. Mr. THUNE submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 2648, making emergency supplemental appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2014, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:
At the appropriate place, insert the following:
