Inserted: The Secretary of the Army may not deactivate the mobilization-demobilization mission at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, or relocate such mission to another installation, until 30 days after the date on which the Secretary submits to the congressional defense committees a report setting forth a justification for the deactivation or relocation of such mission, including an assessment of any costs to be incurred, and cost-savings to be achieved, as a result of the deactivation or relocation of such mission.

Mr. MENENDEZ (for himself and Mr. Booker) submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 2410, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2015 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

SEC. 1047. LIMITATION ON DEACTIVATION OR RELOCATION OF MOBILIZATION-DEMOBILIZATION MISSION AT JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, NEW JERSEY.
