Inserted: (a) Definition of Secretary.--In this section, the term "Secretary" has the meaning given the term in section 3 of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 (16 U.S.C. 1532).
Inserted: (b) Removal.--Not later than 30 days after the date of enactment of this section, the Secretary shall remove from the list of endangered or threatened species under section 4(c) of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 (16 U.S.C. 1533(c)) the fat pocketbook pearly mussel.

SEC. 12001. REMOVAL OF FAT POCKETBOOK PEARLY MUSSEL FROM THE LIST OF ENDANGERED OR THREATENED SPECIES.
