SA 1718. Mr. LANKFORD submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill H.R. 2882, to reauthorize the Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall Trust Fund, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place in division C, insert the following: Sec. ___. No funds appropriated by this Act may be used to release from physical custody any alien whom the Secretary of Homeland Security or the Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection has determined potentially poses a national security risk to the United States or its interests (commonly referred to as a ``special interest alien'') during the pendency of proceedings for such alien under the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1101 et seq.), including any related appeals. ______
