SA 2189. Mr. BOOKER submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 4638, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2025 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the end of subtitle H of title X, add the following: SEC. 1095. REPORT ON INADEQUATE DREDGING, BAYONNE DRY DOCK, NEW JERSEY. Not later than 90 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Army, in consultation with the Administrator of the Maritime Administration, shall submit to Congress a report that-- (1) describes the impact of the dredging problem at Bayonne Dry Dock, New Jersey, on national security, national ship repair and maintenance capacity, maritime infrastructure, and supply chains; and (2) provides potential solutions that could restore repair and maintenance operations at Bayonne Dry Dock, New Jersey, to maximum capacity in a rapid timeframe. ______
