SA 2257. Mrs. BLACKBURN submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by her to the bill S. 4638, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2025 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the end of subtitle H of title X, add the following: SEC. 1095. PROHIBITION ON AWARDS AND CONTRACTS FOR ENTITIES DOING BUSINESS WITH CHINESE MILITARY COMPANIES. No future-year award or contract of the Department of Defense shall be granted to any entity that does business with a Chinese military company (as defined in section 1260H of the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 (Public Law 116-283; 134 Stat. 3965; 10 U.S.C. 113 note)) that operates indirectly or directly in the United States. ______
