SA 800. Ms. CORTEZ MASTO (for herself, Mr. Daines, Ms. Rosen, and Ms. Ernst) submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by her to the bill S. 2226, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2024 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the end of subtitle A of title XII, add the following: SEC. 1213. REPORT ON COORDINATION WITH PRIVATE ENTITIES AND STATE GOVERNMENTS WITH RESPECT TO THE STATE PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM. (a) In General.-- The Secretary of Defense shall submit to Congress a report on the feasibility of coordinating with private entities [[Page S2960]] and State governments to provide resources and personnel to support technical exchanges under the Department of Defense State Partnership Program established under section 341 of title 10, United States Code. (b) Elements.--The report required by subsection (a) shall include the following: (1) An analysis of the limitations of the State Partnership Program. (2) The types of personnel and expertise that could be helpful to partner country participants in the State Partnership Program. (3) Any authority needed to leverage such expertise from private entities and State governments, as applicable. ______
