S.Amdt. 4095

SA 4095. Mr. DURBIN submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by
him to the bill H.R. 4016, making appropriations for the Department of
Defense for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, and for other
purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

At the appropriate place in title VIII, insert the
following:
Sec. 8__.  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, none
of the funds appropriated or otherwise made available by this
Act or any prior Act may be made available for the direct
costs of--
(1) deporting or otherwise repatriating (whether on a
voluntary or involuntary basis) any individual from the
United States to another country; or
(2) transferring any individual from the United States to
United States Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay, for the purpose
of detention, imprisonment, or removal from the United
States.
