SA 5307. Ms. DUCKWORTH submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by her to the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 33, setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2026 and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2027 through 2035; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the end of title III, add the following: SEC. 3___. DEFICIT-NEUTRAL RESERVE FUND RELATING TO ALLOWING DEPORTED VETERANS TO TEMPORARILY PAROLE INTO THE UNITED STATES TO RECEIVE CARE FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS. The Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate may revise the allocations of a committee or committees, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in this resolution, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger, for one or more bills, joint resolutions, amendments, amendments between the Houses, motions, or conference reports relating to allowing certain non-citizen veterans who were ordered removed or who departed voluntarily to be paroled temporarily into the United States to receive health care furnished by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, which may include on a case-by-case basis discretionary parole by the Secretary of Homeland Security, clarifying that such parole is not an admission, returning a paroled veteran to prior custody when the purpose of parole has been served, and excluding individuals inadmissible due to specified convictions for crimes of violence or national security for which the individual served a term of imprisonment of at least 5 years, by the amounts provided in such legislation for those purposes, provided that such legislation would not increase the deficit over the period of the total of fiscal years 2026 through 2035. ______
