S.Amdt. 5516

SA 5516. Ms. CORTEZ MASTO submitted an amendment intended to be
proposed by her to the bill S. 2, to provide for reconciliation
pursuant to title II of S. Con. Res. 33; which was ordered to lie on
the table; as follows:

At the appropriate place in title II, insert the following:

SEC. 2___. PROHIBITION ON USE FUNDS TO DETAIN OR REMOVE
SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

None of the funds made available under this title may be
used to detain or remove a victim of domestic violence or a
crime victim who has an application for relief pending with
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services or on appeal at any
stage of the appeal process.
