Resolved, That upon the adoption of this resolution it shall be in order
without intervention of any point of order to consider in the House the bill
(H.R. 2657) making appropriations for the Legislative Branch for the fiscal year
ending September 30, 2004, and for other purposes. The bill shall be considered
as read for amendment. The amendment specified in section 2 shall be considered
as adopted. All points of order against the bill, as amended, are waived. The
previous question shall be considered as ordered on the bill, as amended, to
final passage without intervening motion except: (1) one hour of debate on the
bill, as amended, equally divided and controlled by the chairman and ranking
minority member of the Committee on Appropriations; and (2) one motion to
recommit with or without instructions.
Sec. 2. The amendment referred to in section 1 of this resolution is as
follows:
On page 6, after line 22, insert the following new section:
``Sec. 102. None of the funds in this Act may be used to provide
supplemental dental or vision heath insurance benefits for Members and
employees of the House of Representatives.''.
