A BILL

To amend the Digital Television Transition and Public Safety Act of 2005 to extend the interoperable emergency communications grant program through fiscal year 2012.

1.

Extension

Section 3006(a)(2) of the Digital Television Transition and Public Safety Act of 2005 is amended—

(1)

by striking 2010 and inserting 2012; and

(2)

by inserting after the period at the end the following: “The Assistant Secretary may extend, on a case-by-case basis, the period of performance for any investment approved under the program for a period not to exceed 2 years.”
