Mr. Inhofe (for himself, Mr. McConnell, Mr. Rounds, Mr. Cassidy, Mr. Roberts, Mr. Barrasso, and Mr. Lee) introduced the following joint resolution; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs

JOINT RESOLUTION

Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to the disclosure of payments by resource extraction issuers.

That Congress disapproves the rule submitted by the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to the disclosure of payments by resource extraction issuers (81 Fed. Reg. 49360 (July 27, 2016)), and such rule shall have no force or effect.
