Introduced January 4, 2021

AI-Generated Summary

Updated February 7, 2026 at 9:04 PM UTC

The bill provides Victoria Galindo Lopez with a path to lawful permanent residence in the United States. It makes her eligible for an immigrant visa or adjustment of status, overrides existing removal or inadmissibility grounds, and requires her to apply within two years. The legislation also adjusts the visa quota by one and prevents her close relatives from receiving any immigration benefits based on their relationship to her.

Key Provisions

  • Allows Victoria Galindo Lopez to obtain an immigrant visa or adjust status to permanent resident, despite the usual restrictions in the Immigration and Nationality Act.
  • If she enters the U.S. before the filing deadline, she is treated as lawfully present and can adjust status as of the bill’s enactment date.
  • Waives any removal or denial of admission grounds listed in DHS or State Department records and requires the Secretary of Homeland Security to cancel any existing removal order against her.
  • Sets a two‑year deadline from enactment for filing the visa or status adjustment application and paying fees.
  • Reduces the annual immigrant visa allocation for her country of birth by one when her visa is granted.
  • Bars her natural parents, brothers, and sisters from receiving any immigration benefits solely because of their relationship to her.
