RESOLUTION
Expressing support for the Parliament of the World’s Religions.
Whereas the Parliament of the World’s Religions first convened at the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in the city of Chicago, Illinois;
Whereas the Parliament of the World’s Religions is returning to the city of Chicago in 2023 to celebrate its 130th anniversary;
Whereas the Parliament of the World’s Religions serves as the world’s premier interfaith convening organization; and
Whereas religious communities living in harmony contribute to a better world: Now, therefore, be it
That the House of Representatives—
supports the Parliament of the World’s Religions and wishes it continued success in promoting interfaith conversations and interactions; and
recognizes the vital role that interfaith conversations have in promoting a just, peaceful, and sustainable world.
