Mr. D'Esposito (for himself and Mr. Harder of California) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce

A BILL

To amend the Public Health Service Act to reauthorize grants for first responder training.

1.

Short title

This Act may be cited as the Safer Response Act of 2023.

2.

First responder training

Section 546(h) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 290ee–1(h)) is amending by striking $36,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2023 and inserting $56,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2024 through 2028.
