Mr. Carper submitted the following resolution; which was considered and agreed to

RESOLUTION

Authorizing the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate to conduct a blood donation drive on September 28, 2023.

Senate blood donation drive on September 28, 2023

(a)

Authorization

In addition to blood donation drives conducted under Senate Resolution 78 (118th Congress), agreed to February 16, 2023, the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate, in conjunction with the Blood Bank of Delmarva, is authorized to conduct a blood donation drive, at a location in the Senate Office Buildings, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on September 28, 2023.

Implementation

(1)

Location

The Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate shall select the location of the blood donation drive described in subsection (a) in consultation with the Committee on Rules and Administration of the Senate.

(2)

Preparations and implementation

Physical preparations for the conduct of, and the implementation of, the blood donation drive authorized under subsection (a) shall be carried out in accordance with such conditions as the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate, in consultation with the Committee on Rules and Administration of the Senate, may prescribe.
