The Veteran Breast Cancer Fairness Act would change the law so that male veterans who develop breast cancer are automatically considered to have a service‑connected disability, unless evidence shows otherwise. This presumption helps them qualify for VA disability compensation more easily. It applies to any male veteran diagnosed with breast cancer, regardless of the cancer’s specific type.

Key Provisions

  • Amends 38 U.S.C. § 1120(b)(2)(E) to add the phrase “including male breast cancer” to the list of conditions that are presumed to be service‑connected.
