AI-Generated Summary

Updated November 23, 2025 at 10:51 PM UTC

This resolution changes the Senate’s standing rules to let the Majority Leader bundle up to ten lower‑level nominations—those that aren’t top executive posts, appellate judges, or Supreme Court justices—into a single, en bloc vote, provided they come from the same committee and are on the calendar. The goal is to speed up Senate handling of routine nominations.

Key Provisions

  • Defines “covered nominations” as those for positions that are NOT level‑I executive jobs, federal appellate judges, or Supreme Court justices.
  • Allows the Senate Majority Leader to move that up to ten covered nominations, reported by the same committee and placed on the calendar, be considered together (en bloc).
  • Treats the motion to consider the group and the subsequent en bloc consideration the same way as a motion to consider a single nomination.
