Madam Speaker, I rise today to recognize Mary Ida Oliver (Buccola) of Westminster, Colorado who will turn 95 on April 22, 2021.

Mary Ida was born on April 22, 1926 in Sopris, Colorado. Her childhood was spent as a true ``coal miner's daughter.'' In her teen years she sold WWII war bonds and spent time as Rosie the UN-riveter.

Mary Ida married the love of her life, A.T. ``Bud'' Oliver, a WWII pilot. They have been together for over 73 years and have five children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Mary Ida is a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is also a true Coloradan, living in this great state for her entire life. She is also an avid fan of both the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies.

Celebrating ninety-five years is a tremendous milestone and should be celebrated. It is my privilege to wish Mary Ida a very happy birthday and wish her all the best in the future.

Deleone DelMastro is a student at Jefferson Jr./Sr. H.S. and received this award because his determination and hard work have allowed him to overcome adversities.

The dedication demonstrated by Deleone DelMastro is exemplary of the type of achievement that can be attained with hard work and perseverance. It is essential students at all levels strive to make the most of their education and develop a work ethic which will guide them for the rest of their lives.

Madam Speaker, I rise today to recognize Ray Rahne, who after several decades of service to the International Association of Fire Fighters recently retired as the 9th District Vice President. Ray's dedication to fire safety and rescue for the State of Colorado has made a significant impact which will last for years to come.

Ray began his firefighting career after proudly serving our country in the United States Marine Corps, where he saw combat action in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969. He joined the Littleton Fire Department and Local 2086 on September 13, 1972 and served in roles including Lieutenant, Captain and Battalion Chief. He also served as a paramedic for 20 years after being one of the first 12 certified paramedics in the State of Colorado. Ray has served his communities in the best and worst of times including by serving as the Initial Incident Commander during the Columbine shooting in 1999 and later as Operations Chief for the remainder of the incident. Through his work with other groups, he has created numerous partnerships and helped improve outcomes and safety in the fire and rescue community and the quality of life for all Coloradans.

Throughout his career, Ray was best known for his passion for service and passion for his fellow firefighters. He has been a member in good standing of Local 2086 in Littleton, Colorado for over 46 years and was the President of Local 2086 for 16 of those years. He served as Vice President of the Colorado Professional Fire Fighters (CPFF) for 7 years and as Vice President to the Colorado AFL-CIO for 3 years. Ray also served as Secretary/Treasurer to the CPFF for over 24 years.

Ray is a beloved and devoted husband and a loving father. I appreciate his decades of service to our community and I wish him all the best in his retirement.
