Floor Statements

Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize Alvin W. Roberts, a Vietnam Combat Veteran. I include in the Record the following proclamation:

Whereas, Mr. Alvin W. Roberts has dedicated over 45 years

of his life to serving veterans, disabled, elderly, and

children, championing and spearheading numerous commendable

and notable projects for the Vietnam Veterans of America,

Inc., locally, statewide, and nationally; and

Whereas, Mr. Alvin W. Roberts, as a Life Member of Vietnam

Veterans of America, he has consistently gone above and

beyond in recruiting and retaining members, implementing

innovative systems to enhance youth activities, community

engagement, and Americanism programs; and

Whereas, Mr. Roberts has held numerous positions within

Vietnam Veterans of America. Inc., including Vice President

of Chapter 1125, showcasing his commitment to the

organization's goals and objectives; and

Whereas, Mr, Roberts played a pivotal role in the

establishment and success of the INVEST (Innovate and

Navigate Veterans' Employment Via Support and Training)

program, connecting veterans with disabilities to training

programs, support services, and jobs, setting an exemplary

standard for community service; and

Whereas, Mr. Roberts is a role model and mentor within the

Miami-Dade County School System and has instilled Values of

Citizenship in the minds of many of our young people with

positive outcomes. Mr. Roberts' affiliation with Big

Brothers/Big Sisters of Miami and the 5,000 Role Models of

Excellence Programs has benefitted inner-city and at-risk

youth within the Tri-County Communities, of Miami-Dade,

Broward, and Palm Beach; and

Whereas, he is a former employee, serving more than 35

years, in the Miami VA Healthcare System Office of

Administration as a Lead Medical Support Assistant. During

his tenure as a Federal Employee of the Miami VA, he was the

recipient of South Florida Federal Executive Board Federal

Employee of the Year in the Category of Administration and

again, he was the overall Federal Employee of the Year

Recipient In Service To The Community; and

Whereas, Mr. Roberts has received numerous local, State,

and National awards for his outstanding service to the Miami-

Dade County community. He has received awards from the

esteemed VVA FSC Member of the Year and VVA National Member

of the Year, awarded under the Past Presidency of Jerry

Klein. Notably, he received a Proclamation in 2019 from State

Legislator James Bush, underscoring the widespread

recognition of his impactful contributions. Vice President

Roberts has been a recipient of the Spirit of ADA,

acknowledging his instrumental role in the success of the

INVEST program; and

Now, therefore, be it resolved that I, Frederica S. Wilson,

a Member of the United States House of Representatives,

representing the 24th Congressional District of Florida,

recognize Alvin W. Roberts for his outstanding service,

leadership, and dedication to veterans, the community, and

the mission of Vietnam Veterans of America. Inc.

Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the life and legacy of Ms. Stephanie Fulton Sands, a woman of unwavering faith and dedication to her community. I include in the Record the following proclamation:

Whereas, Stephanie Elaine Fulton was born on January 12,

1960, in Miami, Florida, to the late Nathan ``Big Bro''

Fulton and Marion L. Spotford. As the eldest grandchild and

firstborn, she brought immense joy to her family and all who

knew her; and

Whereas, Stephanie was a proud product of Miami-Dade County

Public Schools, graduating from Miami Carol City Senior High

School in 1978. She furthered her education at Barry

University, where she earned an Associate's Degree, which

fueled her professional pursuits; and

Whereas, Stephanie accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her

personal savior at an early age and was a faithful member of

Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Carol City, where she

also lent her beautiful voice as a member of the choir; and

Whereas, Stephanie demonstrated remarkable professional

achievements, having worked with the Department of Children

and Families (HRS) and in the fields of finance and real

estate. Most notably, she dedicated her life to serving as

Chief of Administration for the Trayvon Martin Foundation,

tirelessly working to reduce gun violence and uplift families

through holistic support, S.T.E.M. education, and mentoring

for women and minorities; and

Whereas, Stephanie's commitment to service extended to her

recent membership with Top Ladies of Distinction (TLOD),

where she continued her passion for making a positive impact

on the world; and

Whereas, Stephanie's life was a testament to selflessness,

kindness, and a deep commitment to her family, friends, and

community. Whether through her professional work or personal

relationships, she touched countless lives with her

generosity and compassion, Her infectious warmth made her a

beloved member of every community she was part of; and

Whereas, Ms. Stephanie Fulton Sands left behind to carry on

her legacy and hold on to loving memories are her two

daughters, Shakisha Harris and Shantanett Sands; one son,

Darion Sands; four grandchildren Keymani Harris, Oxley

Christiani, III, Chrisette Christiani and Cornelius Miller,

Jr.; parents, Marion and Ted Evans; siblings, Ronald Fulton,

Mark Fulton, Sybrina Fulton, Yolanda Evans, and Tousha Hicks;

nephews, Jahvaris Fulton and Ronquavis Fulton; aunts and

uncles, Yvonne Greene (Jacob), Rhudine Wiley (Charlie), Erma

President (Allen), Wadell Owens and Eleanor Owens; sister/

cousin, Penelope Samuel; past partner for over 30 years,

Gregory Sands; and a host cousins and friends. She was

preceded in death by her beloved father, Nathan Fulton;

great-grandmother and grandmother, Leona ``Big Mama'' Tim and

Nettie ``Nana'' Spotford; aunt, Leona Johnson; and nephew,

Trayvon Martin, who all welcomed her with open arms into

eternity; and

honored to recognize the late Stephanie Fulton Sands, and

extend my heartfelt sympathy.

Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize and honor Annabel Brewster, a community advocate in South Florida, entrepreneur, neighbor and friend as she celebrates her 70th birthday. I include in the Record the following proclamation:

Whereas, Annabel Brewster migrated to the United States in

the early 1970s from Nigeria, and she has embodied the work

of an Unsung Hero ever since. She has constantly contributed

to the Nigerian-American and South Florida community to

fulfill her passion for justice and equality; and

Whereas, Ms. Brewster founded the Africa-USA Chamber of

Commerce to promote trade partnerships and build bridges

between Africa and Florida. The Chamber grew to represent

over 50 members from businesses to local government agencies.

With the support of the Broward Economic Development Center,

the Chamber held a successful trade conference, titled:

Africa-Myths & Realities--which was attended by senior trade

representatives from several African nations as well as

representatives of more than 75 businesses and organizations;

and

Whereas, Ms. Brewster holds many degrees and certificates

which includes: a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Business

Administration, and an Advanced Professional Certificate

(APC) from New York University, as well as a Certified

Financial Planner (CFP) designation from Adelphi University.

Additionally, she holds a Florida real estate salesman

license. Annabel founded MGN Healthcare Services (MGN) to

provide much needed home health care services to the

vulnerable elderly and developmentally delayed populations in

Miami-Dade County and subsequently expanded into Broward

County. At almost the age of 60, she earned her nursing

degree and was certified as a Registered Nurse; and

Whereas, Ms. Brewster's concern for at-risk children

prompted her to found Mainstreaming Plus, an after-school

program for middle-school at-risk kids. Mainstreaming Plus

served over 100 students within 6 years in the early to late

1990s. The program turned ``D'' students into ``A'' and ``B''

students; and

Whereas, due to Ms. Brewster's nurture of the Nigerian

community, she has been dubbed ``Area mother'' because of her

passionate involvement in political awareness, cultural

celebrations and varying activities and causes; and

Now, therefore, be it resolved that I, Frederica S. Wilson,

a Member of the United States House of Representatives

representing the 24th Congressional District of Florida, am

honored to recognize Ms. Annabel Brewster for her commitment,

dedication and service to our community and our country.

Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the life and legacy of a truly remarkable individual, Officer Steven Corley. I include in the Record the following proclamation:

Whereas, Steven Frederick Corley's journey began on

September 8, 1972, in Miami, Florida, born to Frederick

``Freddie'' Corley and Priscilla Bush. He was a product of

Miami-Dade County Schools as a graduate of Miami Norland

Senior High's 1990 class. After graduating, he served in the

United States Army; and

Whereas, Officer Corley got his start in law enforcement

with the Florida Department of Corrections from 1996 to 1998.

He went on to start a career with the Miami Dade Police

Department in 1998 working in the Carol City District. Years

later, he became a part of the Strategic & Specialized

Investigations Bureau in 2007. His final assignment was with

the Street Terror Offender Program (STOP). He was able to

investigate some of the county's most violent crimes. This

work led him to receive numerous awards; and

Whereas, Officer Corley leaves to mourn his wife of 19

years, Trinese Corley; Children, Ryan Corley, Queenesha

Corley, and Queneetra Corley; Grandchildren: Jasmine Corley

and Martravius Smikle, Jr.; Mother: Priscilla Bush; and

Now, therefore, be it resolved that I, Frederica S. Wilson,

a Member of the United States House of Representatives

representing the 24th Congressional District of Florida, am

honored to recognize the late Officer Steven Corley,

celebrating his remarkable life and legacy of service,

leadership, and brotherhood, and committing to honor his

memory by continuing to uphold the principles for which he so

passionately advocated.

Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the life and legacy of Officer Arthur Martineau. I include in the Record the following proclamation:

Whereas, Arthur Walter ``Big Art'' Martineau was born on

October 31, 1970, in Brooklyn, New York, and moved to Miami

Beach in the 1980s, where he began a lifelong mission of

giving back to his community; and

Whereas, Arthur Martineau, driven by the experiences of his

youth in Brooklyn and the absence of police presence in his

neighborhood, embarked on a distinguished law enforcement

career in 1997 with the City of Miami Beach Police

Department, earning a reputation for unwavering dedication to

public service and community engagement; and

Whereas, Officer Martineau was appointed Executive Director

of the Miami Beach Police Athletic League (PAL) in 2010,

where he worked tirelessly to prevent juvenile delinquency

and provide opportunities for young people in Miami Beach,

creating transformative programs that changed countless lives

for the better; and

Whereas, Arthur Martineau honorably served his country as a

proud veteran of the United States Air Force and pursued his

education with great determination, earning a bachelor's

degree in criminal justice and law enforcement administration

from the Union Institute and University: and

Whereas, throughout his distinguished career, Officer

Martineau received numerous accolades, including the City of

Miami Beach Employee of the Year award in 2018, and on May

25th of that year, the Mayor and City Commission of Miami

Beach declared it ``Officer Art and Deborah Martineau Day''

in recognition of his exemplary dedication to his community;

and

Whereas, Officer Martineau's leadership and vision extended

beyond his professional responsibilities, mentoring aspiring

law enforcement officers, coaching youth football, and

helping numerous teenagers secure full scholarships to

prestigious universities, leaving an indelible impact on the

lives of those he served; and

Whereas, Officer Martineau was known for his charm, wit,

and love of life, embracing simple pleasures such as oatmeal

cookies, family vacations to Jamaica, movies, and cheering

for his beloved New York Jets; and

Whereas, despite being diagnosed with esophageal cancer in

September 2023, Officer Martineau demonstrated extraordinary

courage and resilience, continuing his role as Executive

Director of Miami Beach PAL and serving his community with

steadfast passion and dedication until his passing on January

23, 2025; and

Whereas, Officer Martineau leaves behind his devoted wife,

Officer Deborah Martineau, who continues to serve the Miami

Beach Police Department with distinction, their five beloved

children--Antrena Martineau, Nichole Doty, Demetrius Smith,

Alexis Martineau, and Arthur Martineau, III--and a vast

network of friends, colleagues, and mentees who were

profoundly impacted by his wisdom, kindness, and unwavering

commitment to improving the lives of others; and

Now, therefore, be it resolved that I, Frederica S. Wilson,

a Member of the United States House of Representatives

representing the 24th Congressional District of

Florida, am honored to recognize the life of Officer Arthur

Walter ``Big Art'' Martineau will forever inspire those who

follow in his footsteps to serve with honor, integrity, and

love for their community.

Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the life and legacy of a truly remarkable individual, Susie Law Ingram, a woman of unwavering faith and dedication to her community. I include in the Record the following proclamation:

Whereas, Susie Law Ingram was born in Georgia on March 3,

1954, to the late Emmett and Gussie Law. She was the youngest

of nine children; and

Whereas, at a young age, Susie and her family relocated to

Miami, Florida. She was a product of the Dade County Public

School system, attending Miami Jackson High School. It was at

Miami Jackson where she met the love of her life, Mr. Richard

Ingram. Shortly after graduating, the two were wed at the

young age of 17 and 18. To this union, four boys were born:

Richard D., Fedrick, Randy and Zach; and

Whereas, Mrs. Ingram had a true love for the arts. While in

high school, she was part of the drama club and the choir.

She was also a member of the poetry club which led to the

composition of short stories, plays and ultimately the

publication of her book ``God Lives Here, Too.''; and

Whereas, inspired by her sons Fedrick and Randy, Mrs.

Ingram went on to finish her high school diploma and obtain a

degree in elementary education, in her 50's, from Miami Dade

College; and

Whereas, she was a devout Christian and an advocate for

social activism, Mrs. Ingram participated in events on local,

state, and national levels to promote voter registration,

advancing black people, and education. Later in life, Mrs.

Ingram and her husband worked together in the private nursing

industry. Ultimately, they transitioned into transportation

becoming bus drivers and members of the Transport Workers

Union; and

Whereas, Mrs. Ingram leaves behind a loving family,

including her devoted husband Richard; her four sons, Richard

D. (Lynette), Fedrick, Randy (Jamila) and Zach; 10

grandchildren, Dannielle, Niliyah, Elan, Erin, Jaliyah,

D'Quan, Randy, Jr., Duane, Jr., Jordan, and Jaren; 2 sisters,

Emma Law and Lowrine Jenkins; 2 brothers, Emmit, Jr. and

Johnnie. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews,

relatives, friends, and church members, all of whom will

forever cherish her memory; and

honored to recognize the late Susie Ingram, and extend my

Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor Martin Roy Edmonds. I include in the Record the following proclamation:

Whereas, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated was

founded upon the principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and

Service, these values are exemplified by the extraordinary

life and contributions of Brother Martin Roy Edmonds; and

Whereas, Martin Roy Edmonds was born on October 19, 1958,

in Bronx, New York, to Samuel and Lillie Edmonds, who

instilled in him a deep appreciation for Black history,

culture, and the pursuit of knowledge, shaping him into a man

of integrity and service; and

Whereas, his educational journey led him to attend Florida

Memorial College (FMC), where he earned a Bachelor of Arts

degree in Business Management with a minor in Computer

Science, while actively contributing to the campus community

through roles such as treasurer of the freshman and sophomore

classes, editor of the student newsletter, and President of

the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) at FMC: and

Whereas, on December 6, 1980, Mr. Edmonds was initiated

into Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated through the Beta

Pi Chapter at FMC, where he demonstrated exemplary

leadership. serving as chapter president, vice president, and

business manager, among other roles, helping his chapter to

earn accolades such as ``Organization of the Year'' and

``State and Regional Chapter of the Year''; and

Whereas, throughout his career, Brother Edmonds continued

to embody the values of Phi Beta Sigma by remaining actively

involved with the fraternity, serving as a collegian advisor,

chartering the Rho Sigma Chapter's Sigma Beta Club, and

holding various leadership positions at the chapter, state,

and regional levels, including Southern Regional Director,

Chairman of the Regional Directors Council, and Deputy Chief

of Staff to the Honorable Chris V. Rey, International

President of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.; and

Whereas, Mr. Edmonds has made significant contributions to

his community through his involvement in numerous programs,

including SATAP (Sigma Against Teenage Pregnancy), Project

SADA (Sigma Against Domestic Abuse), Black Dollar Day, and

Voter Registration Drives, as well as his leadership in

creating two non-profit organizations, The Blue Dove

Community Foundation, Inc. and The TMB Charitable Foundation,

Inc., which have raised funds and provided critical support

to youth, collegiate brothers, and underserved communities;

and

Whereas, his professional career in Miami-Dade County's

Information Technology Department spanned 37 years, where he

demonstrated leadership in technical support, cybersecurity,

and education, providing mentorship to youth and contributing

to the community's technological advancement; and

Whereas, Brother Edmonds has served in leadership roles

within numerous organizations, including as President of the

National Pan-Hellenic Council of Miami, Worshipful Master of

San Salvador Lodge No. 603, and Guardian Ad Litem, advocating

for the rights and well-being of vulnerable children; and

Whereas, his tireless efforts, unrelenting dedication, and

passion for service have been recognized with numerous

honors, including Gold and Platinum Life Membership in Phi

Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., induction into the Florida

Sigmas Hall of Fame, and recognition as the 2023 Collegiate

Chapter Advisor of the Year at Florida International

University; and now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That I, Frederica S. Wilson, a Member of the

United States House of Representatives, representing the 24th

Congressional District of Florida, do hereby recognize and

celebrate Martin Roy Edmonds for his distinguished service,

unwavering commitment to the principles of Phi Beta Sigma

Fraternity, Incorporated, and his invaluable contributions to

the betterment of society.

Mr. Speaker, I include in the Record the following proclamation to commemorate Mrs. Bessie Mae Cato on her 100th Birthday:

Whereas, Mrs. Bessie Mae Cato was born on August 15, 1924,

in Quitman, Georgia, to Paris Holland and Mary E. (Williams)

Wright, and received her grade school education in Tampa,

Florida, where she was inspired by the great educator, Mary

McLeod Bethune; and

Whereas, Mrs. Cato moved to South Florida in the 1930s,

where she graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in

Miami in the 1940s, and went on to have an illustrious career

working at the legendary Sir John Hotel and the famed Harlem

Square Nightclub, where she served as head waitress, meeting

and befriending iconic figures such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah

Vaughn, Flip Wilson, Jackie Robinson, Sammy Davis, Jr., and

Sam Cooke; and

Whereas, Mrs. Cato was present during the historic

recording of Sam Cooke's Live at the Harlem Square Nightclub

in 1963, a night that remains etched in music history as one

of the greatest live performances ever captured; and

Whereas, alongside her husband, Mr. Paul Cato, who served

as a personal assistant to Jackie Gleason and later became an

entrepreneur, Mrs. Cato herself became a successful Black

businesswoman and entrepreneur, opening and operating her own

hair salon, the ``Gay Peree,'' in the Overtown neighborhood

of Miami, where she served her community with grace and

dedication for more than 40 years until her retirement in

2002; and

Whereas, Mrs. Cato, now a centenarian, continues to be

celebrated as a matriarch, a trailblazer, and a beloved

figure in her community, who has witnessed and contributed to

a century of history, progress, and cultural evolution; and

Now, therefore, be it resolved that I, Frederica S. Wilson,

a member of the United States House of Representatives,

representing the 24th Congressional District of Florida, am

proud to honor and celebrate the extraordinary life of Mrs.

Bessie Mae Cato, and we extend our heartfelt wishes for her

continued health, happiness, and blessings.

Mr. Speaker, I include in the Record a proclamation to honor Pastor Eric B. Ampadu, a spiritual leader in South Florida, on this occasion of becoming chaplain in the United States Army:

Whereas, Pastor Ampadu is the outgoing senior pastor of

Northside Seventh Day Adventist Church located in Miami-Dade

County. He was called to the gospel ministry in 1999 and

ordained as a minister in 2010. He received a Bachelor of

Arts degree in Theology in 2000 from Oakwood University. In

2007 he received a Master of Divinity degree from Andrews

Theological Seminary and in 2012 a Master of Science degree

in Criminal Justice from Capella University; and

Whereas, Pastor Ampadu was born in Ghana, West Africa. He

migrated to the United States in 1996. Pastor Ampadu is a

family-oriented individual and has been married for 22 years

to Elta who is a counselor. He has three children, Faith at

Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama, Mayia and Jeremiah

at Pine Forge Academy in Pennsylvania; and

Whereas, Pastor Ampadu has pastored churches in Alabama,

Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Michigan, Florida and

Canada; and

Whereas Pastor Ampadu is a member of the 5,000 Role Models

of Excellence Project; and

Whereas, in the past 5 years, under Pastor Ampadu's

leadership the Northside church has sponsored several

successful and highly beneficial programs for the community;

and

Whereas Pastor Ampadu is a faithful man of God. Unselfish

with his time as he routinely fellowships with the sick and

shut ins. Including those who are not members of his church;

and

Whereas Pastor Ampadu accepted another call to serve God

and his country. He will be a chaplain in the United States

Army. Captain Ampadu will be stationed at Fort Drum in

Northern New York State. Pastor Ampadu is a very caring and

community-oriented individual. Pastor Ampadu's spiritual

leadership will truly be missed in our church and in the

community,

honored to recognize Pastor Eric B. Ampadu for his

commitment, dedication and service to our community and our

country.

Mr. Speaker, I rise today, as a descendant of Bahamians, to commemorate the 48th Anniversary of Bahamian Independence and to pay tribute to its citizens

and Bahamian Americans living in South Florida and across the United States. Therefore, I include in the Record the following proclamation:

Whereas, The Islands of the Bahamas became an Independent

Commonwealth Country on July 10, 1973, after centuries of

British rule; and

Whereas there are some 700 islands and 2,400 cays in total

that make up the Islands of the Bahamas; and

Whereas the proud people who, through uncertainty and tough

economic times, remained steadfast and determined to build a

brighter future after its hard-fought independence, showed

great strength and unwavering will; and

Whereas, today, The Bahamas has a thriving economy built

around tourism and financial services; the tenacious and

enduring spirit of the Bahamian people, and its rich

traditions and culture; and

Whereas Bahamian culture is joy personified. It is a

Junkanoo celebration, parading down the street. It's bold and

colorful art. The culture is a fresh conch salad, a lively

rake `n' scrape tune, and a welcoming smile from a stranger;

and

Whereas Bahamians and Bahamian Americans have made

significant contributions to the United States through the

arts & humanities, business, activism, local and national

government, and remain an integral part of the South Florida

Community; and

Now, therefore, be it resolved that I, Frederica S. Wilson,

a member of the United States House of Representatives,

representing the 24th Congressional District of Florida, and

a person of Bahamian descent, am proud to recognize the 48th

Anniversary of this resilient, free and sovereign nation, and

pay tribute to the wonderful people and descendants who make

it great.

Mr. Speaker, I include in the Record the following proclamation in honor of Apostle Dr. Prince Alex Kwame Nkrumah:

Whereas, Apostle Dr. Kwame Nkrumah's passion for the word

and the work of God was ignited from an early age. At eleven

years old, through his engagement with the Scripture Union

Fellowship at his primary school, the Holy Spirit enlightened

his understanding of the word in 2 Corinthians 5:17,

``Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;

old things have passed away; behold, all things have become

new.'' His life was transformed by this word, made new, and

God's call on his life became crystal clear to him. His

passion for the work of God was sustained from that time

forward; and

Whereas, Apostle Dr. Kwame Nkrumah's tertiary studies

centered on Bible Theology, Law in Ministry, Psychology and

Christian Counseling, Church Mission and Leadership. He

obtained a Diploma of Arts in Bible Theology in 1995, an

Associate of Arts Degree in Bible Theology in 1996, and a

Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bible Theology and Administration

in 1999, all from All Nations for Christ Bible Institute

International in Benin City, Nigeria; and

Whereas, Apostle Dr. Kwame Nkrumah's passion is for

apostolic ministry and missionary outreach to win souls for

the Kingdom of God, and to encourage and strengthen believers

in their walk with God. He has a special anointing for

winning souls to Christ, breaking new ground and church

planting, using such mechanisms as training of leaders,

teaching, crusades, and indoor revival

events. His missionary outreach activities have taken him to

ten African countries as well as Norway, Turkey, Dubai,

Israel, and the United States; and

Whereas, Apostle Dr. Kwame Nkrumah uses his leadership

positions in various international ministries strategically

the digital platform, Vision Life Clubhouse; and

Whereas, Apostle Dr. Prince Alex Kwame Nkrumah founded

International Vision Church in Accra, Ghana in 2011, and has

served as its Senior Pastor from that time to the present.

His pastoral work supports the vision of the church which is

to build believers as people of wellbeing, stability and

satisfaction in spirit, soul and body, through foresight,

founded in the word of God; and

Mr. Speaker, I include in the Record the following proclamation in honor of Apostle John Eckhardt, who is being recognized and honored for his significant impact to the Body of Christ at the 2024 State of the Church Summit, in Miami, Florida:

Whereas John Eckhardt's journey began on the South Side of

Chicago on November 19, 1957, where he was born into a legacy

of achievement, with his father being a professional baseball

player in the Negro League, and his mother a first-generation

descendant of Italian immigrants; and

Whereas Apostle Eckhardt's pursuit of knowledge led him

through the Catholic school system, earning a scholarship to

Loyola Academy for high school and Northwestern University

for college, where he studied pre-med, showcasing his

dedication to academic excellence; and

Whereas, Apostle Eckhardt, through divine intervention,

experienced salvation in 1978 during his junior year in

college, leading him on the path to ministry, where he met

his wife, Wanda Eckhardt, at a local church, later marrying

her in 1979, and together they have raised a family of five

children and two grandchildren; and

Whereas, Apostle Eckhardt, with unwavering dedication,

assumed the role of Pastor in 1988 and, over the years, has

become a beacon of inspiration for countless individuals,

imparting his apostolic mandate and prophetic insight; and

Whereas Apostle Eckhardt is the visionary CEO and founder

of Impact University and John Eckhardt Global, institutions

that stand as pillars of knowledge and empowerment in the

heart of Chicago. He has dedicated his life to serving as an

international speaker, missionary, and overseer of Crusaders

Church in Chicago, Illinois; and

Whereas Apostle Eckhardt has demonstrated a commitment to

fostering spiritual growth and understanding, reaching

across continents with a weekly broadcast on Clubhouse and

Facebook, titled ``The Decrees for Breakthrough and The

Porch''. Apostle Eckhardt's influence extends far beyond

national borders, having ministered in more than 90 nations

and six continents, leaving an indelible mark on the global

body of Christ; and

Whereas Apostle Eckhardt is a prolific author, having

penned over fifty books, including renowned titles such as

``Prayers That Rout Demons,'' ``Prayers That Break Curses,''

``Prophet Arise,'' ``God Still Speaks,'' and his latest

release, ``You Shall Recover All''; and

Now, therefore, be it resolved that I, Frederica S. Wilson,

a member of the United States House of Representatives,

representing the 24th Congressional District of Florida,

recognize Apostle John Eckhardt for his outstanding

contributions to the global community, his unwavering

commitment to spiritual enlightenment, and his transformative

impact on the lives of countless individuals.

Mr. Speaker, I include in the Record the following proclamation in honor of the accomplishments of Alpha Alpha Beta Omega Chapter under the Leadership of Basileus Cheryl D. Larkin on the occasion of the end of her presidency:

Whereas, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Alpha

Alpha Beta Omega Chapter, was chartered on April 15, 2018, by

58 dedicated Charter Members who sought to uphold the

Sorority's legacy of service and sisterhood; and

Whereas, the chapter has since grown in both membership and

impact, expanding to include 115 dynamic women; and

Whereas, under the extraordinary leadership of Charter

Member and Basileus Cheryl D. Larkin, who has faithfully

served as President from January 2023 to December 2024, the

chapter flourished in alignment with her administration's

inspiring theme, We Are One--Excelling Through Service,

Leadership, and the Spirit of Sisterly Love; and

Whereas, the Alpha Alpha Beta Omega Chapter has remained

steadfast in its commitment to Service to All Mankind,

demonstrating exceptional dedication to the local community

and beyond, through programs that uplift, empower, and

inspire; and

Whereas, in November 2024, under Basileus' Larkin's

leadership, the chapter achieved a monumental milestone by

hosting its Inaugural Membership Experience, welcoming nine

new members into this illustrious sisterhood; and

Whereas, Alpha Alpha Beta Omega Chapter was honored with

numerous awards and accolades for its outstanding service,

leadership, and sisterhood, including 1st Place, AKA

International Program--Strengthen Our Sisterhood Award (Large

Chapter), 2023 Reactivation Award, 2023 1st Place S.O.A.R.

Award (Large Chapter), 2023 Best of the Best Graduate

Chapters, 2024 Ethel A. Grice Attendance Award, and 2024 Eva

Harris Cofield Attendance Award; and

Whereas, the chapter demonstrated a commitment to

empowering youth through the Youth Leadership Institute (YLI)

program, developing future leaders in the local community;

and

Whereas, Alpha Alpha Beta Omega Chapter addressed critical

needs through its CHIPP initiative, which provided meals to

local elementary school students, embodying the Sorority's

mission of impactful service; and

Now, therefore, be it resolved that I, Frederica S. Wilson,

a member of the United States House of Representatives,

representing the 24th Congressional District of Florida, do

hereby recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements

of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Alpha Alpha Beta

Omega Chapter, under the transformative leadership of

Basileus Cheryl D. Larkin. I extend heartfelt gratitude to

Basileus Cheryl D. Larkin for her unwavering commitment to

excellence, service, and sisterhood, and recognize her

pivotal role in leading the We Are One Administration to

unparalleled success.

Mr. Speaker, I include in the Record a proclamation in recognition of Apostle Berry Mae Adams, as she is honored by Heart of God Ministries, family, and friends for her many contributions to the community through 45 years of service to the Kingdom of God:

Whereas, Apostle Berry Mae Adams was born, in Sidon,

Mississippi, to the late Vernie and Thomas Lewis of Osceola,

Arkansas. In 1946, her family moved back to Arkansas to live

the farm life for ten years. In December of 1956, the family

of eleven relocated when Vernie was able to secure seasonal

work in Miami, Florida; and

Whereas, in 1961 on New Year's Eve Day, Apostle Adams

received Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior. She developed

an authentic personal relationship with Christ through

prayer, study of the Bible and serving in many capacities in

her local church. This journey led her to obtain a Doctor of

Divinity degree; and

Whereas, with 5 adults and 6 children, Apostle Adams

founded The Bible Way Prayer Mission church in 1976 where she

currently serves as Apostle of the ministry. Bible Way has

been a part of the Liberty City community for more than 45

years with its first location opening on Northwest 62nd

Street and 22nd Avenue; and

Whereas, Apostle Adams' ministry specializes in helping

hurt people. She supports the homeless by providing shelter

to them in her own home as well as in the church building.

Clothing drives, feeding the homeless, after school tutoring,

and toys for tots drives are amongst the projects initiated

through her ministry. Apostle Adams serves as an advisor to

parents whose children have become wards of the state. She

helps families to be reunited. The Bible Way Prayer Mission

holds special services that are organized and facilitated by

children to prepare the next generation for future ministry

involvement and leadership; and

Whereas, Apostle Adams works with the police department to

help prevent crimes by counseling Liberty City and Brown Sub

residents. She also works with Promise Keepers Ministry to

encourage young men and women to abstain from fornication as

a method to prevent HIV/Aids and teenage pregnancy. Apostle

Adams has poured her lifetime of learning and experience into

the people she serves; and

Now, therefore, be it resolved that I, Frederica S. Wilson,

a member of the United States House of Representatives,

representing the 24th Congressional District of Florida,

honor Apostle Berry Adams for all her contributions to Miami-

Dade County.

Mr. Speaker, I include in the Record a proclamation to honor Dr. Michael Norman, who is being recognized and honored for his contributions to Christian Music and leadership at the 2024 State of the Church Summit, in Miami, Florida:

Whereas, Dr. Michael Norman, the second of five siblings, born in Orlando, Florida, to Carey and Mary Norman, has displayed exceptional talents and contributions throughout his life; and

Whereas, from the tender age of five, Michael exhibited prodigious skills in playing the piano, evolving into the primary church musician by the age of eight, laying the foundation for his future as a performer, orator, and proficient leader; and

Whereas, Michael's journey began as a gifted musician, attributing his musical prowess to his mother's prayers and divine intervention, turning away from potential pitfalls during the challenging times of the 80s; and

Whereas, his remarkable musical journey has culminated in numerous accolades, including multiple awards for Best New Artist, highlighting his ability to resonate with diverse audiences through the universal language of music; and

Whereas, Dr. Michael Norman is a native of Orlando, Florida, and, for the past 25 years, has been in a sacred union with Prophetess Francina Norman, demonstrating a commitment to marital bliss and spiritual partnership. Dr. Norman and Prophetess Francina Norman have traversed the globe, establishing churches, overseeing ministries, and providing valuable consultation to Pro Athletes, Celebrities, and Political figures, contributing to the betterment of societies both foreign and domestic; and

Whereas, Dr. Michael Norman, alongside his cherished wife Francina, serves as pastors of The Movement Church in Orlando, FL, demonstrating unwavering commitment to the spiritual growth and well-being of their community; and

Whereas Dr. Michael Norman holds a bachelor's degree in biblical studies and Pastoral Counseling, as well as an Honorary Doctorate from All Nations Christian University, attesting to his scholarly pursuits and commitment to expanding his knowledge for the betterment of others; and

Whereas, Dr. Michael Norman is the esteemed founder of MCN Productions International, a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence in the realms of recording artistry and production; and
