SA 1309. Mr. INOUYE (for Mr. Bayh (for himself and Mr. Lugar)) proposed an amendment to the bill H.R. 2658, making appropriations for the Department of Defense for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2004, and for other purposes; as follows:

Insert after section 8123 the following:

Sec. 8124. Of the amount appropriated by title II of this Act under the heading “Operation and Maintenance, Army” up to $15,000,000 may be made available for upgrades of M1A1 Abrams tank transmissions.
