Mr. VITTER (for himself and Mr. DeMint) submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill H.R. 5140, to provide economic stimulus through recovery rebates to individuals, incentives for business investment, and an increase in conforming and FHA loan limits; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:
At the appropriate place, insert the following:
SEC. ___. ESTATE TAX REPEAL MADE PERMANENT.
Section 901 of the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 shall not apply to title V of such Act.
