1. Adds SEC. __. CYBERSECURITY AWARENESS CAMPAIGN wherever appropriate

   Adds a section

   Inserted: SEC. __. CYBERSECURITY AWARENESS CAMPAIGN.

   Inserted: (a) In General.--Subtitle C of title II of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 (6 U.S.C. 141 et seq.) is amended by adding at the end the following:

   Inserted: "SEC. 230. CYBERSECURITY AWARENESS CAMPAIGN.

   Inserted: "(a) In General.--The Under Secretary for Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection shall develop and implement an ongoing and comprehensive cybersecurity awareness campaign regarding cybersecurity risks and voluntary best practices for mitigating and responding to such risks.

   Inserted: "(b) Requirements.--The campaign developed under subsection (a) shall, at a minimum, publish and disseminate, on an ongoing basis, the following:

   Inserted: "(1) Public service announcements targeted at improving awareness among State, local, and tribal governments, the private sector, academia, and stakeholders in specific audiences, including the elderly, students, small businesses, members of the Armed Forces, and veterans.

   Inserted: "(2) Vendor and technology-neutral voluntary best practices information.

   Inserted: "(c) Consultation.--The Under Secretary for Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection shall consult with a wide range of stakeholders in government, industry, academia, and the non-profit community in carrying out this section.".

   Inserted: (b) Clerical Amendment.--The table of contents in section 1(b) of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 226 (relating to cybersecurity recruitment and retention) the following:

   Inserted: "Sec. 230. Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign.".
