Inserted: Section 2602(c) of the Energy Policy Act of 1992 (25 U.S.C. 3502(c)) is amended by adding at the end the following:
Inserted: "(8) Tribal hydroelectric loan guarantee program.--
Inserted: "(A) In general.--As part of the loan guarantee program under this subsection, the Secretary of Energy shall provide loan guarantees to support Tribal investment in small-scale hydroelectric power generation, with a focus on whirlpool turbines and other run-of-river technologies.
Inserted: "(B) Funds.--Of the amounts made available to carry out this subsection, not less than $20,000,000 shall be used to carry out subparagraph (A).".

SEC. 18__. TRIBAL HYDROELECTRIC LOAN GUARANTEE PROGRAM.
Section 2602(c) of the Energy Policy Act of 1992 (25 U.S.C. 3502(c)) is amended by adding at the end the following:
