SA 2080. Mr. PORTMAN (for himself and Mr. Brown) submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 4049, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2021 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the end of subtitle C of title II, add the following: SEC. 240. ELEMENT IN ANNUAL REPORTS ON CYBER SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ACTIVITIES ON WORK WITH ACADEMIC CONSORTIA ON HIGH PRIORITY CYBERSECURITY RESEARCH ACTIVITIES IN DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE CAPABILITIES. Section 257(b)(2) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020 (Public Law 116-92; 133 Sta. 1291) is amended by adding at end the following new subparagraph: ``(J) Efforts to work with academic consortia on high priority cybersecurity research activities.''. ______
