S.Amdt. 4448

SA 4448. Mr. MURPHY submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by
him to the bill S. 1383, to establish the Veterans Advisory Committee
on Equal Access, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on
the table; as follows:

At the appropriate place, insert the following:

SEC. ___. DOCUMENTARY PROOF OF UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP
REQUIRED FOR FIREARM TRANSFERS.

Section 5812(a) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is
amended by striking ``and his photograph'' and inserting ``,
his photograph, and documentary proof of United States
citizenship, as defined in section 3 of the National Voter
Registration Act of 1993 (52 U.S.C. 20502)''.
