This private bill gives permanent‑resident status to Carmela Apolonio Hernandez, Edwin Artillero Apolonio, Yoselin Artillero Apolonio, Keyri Artillero Apolonio, and Fidel Artillero Apolonio. It overrides normal immigration rules so they can apply for an immigrant visa or adjust status, protects them from removal or denial of entry, and sets a two‑year deadline for filing. The bill also requires a small reduction in the visa quota for their country of birth.

Key Provisions

  • Allows each named person to be eligible for an immigrant visa or adjustment to lawful permanent residence, even though current immigration law would normally block them.
  • If any of them enter the U.S. before the filing deadline, their entry is treated as lawful and they can adjust status as of the bill’s enactment.
  • Waives all grounds for removal or inadmissibility and directs the Secretary of Homeland Security to cancel any existing removal or deportation orders against them.
  • Requires the visa or status application and required fees to be submitted within two years of the law’s passage.
  • Orders the State Department to reduce the total number of immigrant visas available to natives of their birth country by five for the current or next fiscal year.
