A bill to waive an advance notice requirement with respect to the Four Forest Restoration Initiative Phase 2 Stewardship contract.

Introduced October 21, 2020

AI-Generated Summary

Updated April 14, 2026 at 3:38 PM UTC

This bill eliminates the standard advance‑notice periods that normally apply to forest‑restoration contracts under the Healthy Forests Restoration Act. Specifically, it removes the 30‑day and 14‑day notice requirements for the Four Forest Restoration Initiative (4FRI) Phase 2 Stewardship contract, allowing that contract to proceed without the usual waiting period. The bill still requires the Forest Service chief to submit the required notices within seven days after the contract is signed, affecting the U.S. Forest Service and the parties involved in the 4FRI Phase 2 contract.

Key Provisions

  • Waives the 30‑day advance‑notice rule and the 14‑day notice rule that normally apply under the Healthy Forests Restoration Act for the 4FRI Phase 2 Stewardship contract (solicitation 12837119R4005).
  • Requires the Chief of the Forest Service to send the otherwise‑required notices within seven days after the contract is entered into.
