This joint resolution tells the U.S. government not to go ahead with a proposed arms sale to Bahrain. It blocks the issuance of a letter of offer for a large group of missiles, bombs, and related equipment and services, effectively stopping the sale. The measure would affect the Bahrain government, which was seeking the weapons, and any U.S. agencies or contractors involved in the sale.

Key Provisions

  • Blocks the sale of 32 AIM‑9X short‑range missiles.

  • Bars the sale of 40 AGM‑154 Joint Standoff Weapon rounds.
  • Prevents the sale of 50 AGM‑88B HARM missiles and 4 HARM training missiles.
