This resolution is a formal notice from the House to the Senate stating that a quorum of Representatives is present, that Nancy Pelosi has been elected Speaker of the House, and that Cheryl L. Johnson has been elected Clerk of the House for the 117th Congress. It simply informs the Senate of these internal House actions and does not create any new policy.
