National Emergency Medical Services Memorial Extension Act

Introduced March 18, 2025

AI-Generated Summary

Updated August 11, 2026 at 5:54 AM UTC

The National Emergency Medical Services Memorial Extension Act extends the time limit for the National Emergency Medical Services Memorial Foundation to build a commemorative work in Washington, D.C. The bill changes the existing law so that the foundation’s authorization now expires seven years after this extension act is passed, rather than the original deadline. This affects the foundation and any parties involved in planning or constructing the memorial.

Key Provisions

  • Amends the earlier law (Public Law 115‑275) to replace the reference to a “seven‑year period” with a new deadline that is seven years after the date this extension act becomes law, effectively giving the foundation more time to complete the memorial.
