The No Gratuities for Governing Act of 2025 amends the federal bribery statute (18 U.S.C. § 666) to tighten rules around illegal gratuities tied to programs that receive federal money. It raises the maximum prison sentence for the original offense to 15 years and creates a new, separate bribery offense for giving or receiving $1,000‑plus in value in transactions worth $5,000 or more, imposing up to a 2‑year jail term and fines. The changes affect anyone who interacts with federal‑funded programs, including government officials and private entities.
