The Anti‑Fraud Fund Act of 2026 amends the Social Security Act to boost the money available for fighting health‑care fraud and abuse. It provides an additional $7 billion annually for the Health Care Fraud and Abuse Control Account from FY 2027 through FY 2030, and sets a rule for how future funding limits are calculated, effectively reducing the prior year’s limit by $7 billion for FY 2028 onward. This increase is aimed at strengthening enforcement and oversight of Medicare, Medicaid, and other health‑care programs.

Key Provisions

  • Adds $7 billion each year to the Health Care Fraud and Abuse Control Account for fiscal years 2027, 2028, 2029, and 2030.
  • Specifies that when setting the funding limit for fiscal year 2028 and any later year (through FY 2031), the limit is treated as the amount that would have been set for the previous year minus $7 billion.
