AI-Generated Summary

Updated March 27, 2026 at 3:02 AM UTC

This House resolution sets the rules for quickly moving four separate measures through the House. It removes procedural objections, limits debate to one hour split between the majority and minority, and allows each bill or resolution to be read and passed without further motions, affecting the Department of Homeland Security funding, a DHS support resolution, a beautification program for Washington, D.C., and vessel regulation changes. It also updates a date reference in an earlier resolution.

Key Provisions

  • Waives all points of order and sets a one‑hour, equally divided debate for the consideration and final passage of H.R. 8029, the DHS appropriations bill for FY 2026.
  • Allows the House to consider H.Res. 1128, a resolution expressing support for the Department of Homeland Security, with the same waiver of points of order and a one‑hour, equally divided debate.
  • Waives points of order and permits consideration of H.R. 5103, which would create a program to beautify Washington, D.C., and establish a District of Columbia Safe and Beautiful Commission, with a one‑hour, equally divided debate.
  • Waives points of order and permits consideration of H.R. 7084, which would amend Title 46 of the U.S. Code regarding which vessels may operate in U.S. navigable waters or ports, also with a one‑hour, equally divided debate.
  • Amends a prior House resolution (H.Res. 707) by changing the date reference from “March 31, 2026” to “the remainder of the One Hundred Nineteenth Congress.”
