Mr. Speaker, on rollcall No. 107, I mistakenly voted ``yea'' when I intended to vote ``nay.''

Mr. Speaker, I rise in support of the Freedom for Health Care Workers Act.

I would like to take a minute to reflect on what one of my colleagues was talking about across the aisle, and that is about having the ability to choose when it comes to abortion. Yet, here are mandates that have been forced on our healthcare workers since the vaccines have been introduced through the Democrats and through the Biden administration, and it has been devastating for our healthcare industry.

It is pretty hypocritical to talk about abortion rights for healthcare workers in the workplace when they are completely against the ability of healthcare workers, who I would call the experts-- doctors, nurses, and people who work in the healthcare field. They have the right to choose when it comes to the vaccines.

Mandates are tyrannical and they need to end. The COVID pandemic is over, and I am glad Republicans are making sure that we declare that this week on the House floor.

I would also point out that we have a severe shortage of healthcare workers, many of whom were heroes who worked on the front lines saving lives throughout this pandemic who have said they don't want a vaccine, they do not want to take it, and they want to trust their own natural immunity. We need to give these healthcare workers the right to choose their natural immunity and not be forced to take a jab or a vaccine that they know they do not need and they do not want.

We believe in freedom here in the Republican Conference. We believe in freedom for Americans. We believe in freedom for the healthcare workers of this country.

Mr. Chair, yesterday I introduced an amendment that would take away the President's emergency power to sell our oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve and give that authority back to Congress.

Since Joe Biden has become President, he has abused his emergency power and sold American oil to our enemies. China was the number one buyer.

President Biden abused his power to sell our oil and reduce gas prices so that the midterm elections would swing Democrats' way. It is a shame to trick the American people just to win an election.

No President should be able to use their emergency powers for politics. While my amendment failed yesterday, it opened up discussions on how to solve this problem.

While our leadership was working with me to protect America's Strategic Petroleum Reserve, Democrats and the mocking Hill media were making fun of me for having a failed amendment. I want to say this: True success comes through failure.

There is one thing that needs to be pointed out about our new Republican majority: We are much different than Republican majorities of the past. We aren't afraid of conflict, of disagreements in the public's eye. We have already proven that.

What all of us are afraid of is not being a successful Republican majority for the American people and stopping the Democrats' America last policies.

What our Republican majority will continue to show the country and the mocking media, in the words of our new, great Republican Speaker: ``It's not how you start, it's how you finish.''

Today, I am introducing a new amendment that would prevent President Biden, or any President, from selling our strategic oil reserves for political reasons.

The American people don't believe President Biden should have the sole authority to sell our oil for whatever reason he comes up with. President Biden's war on American energy has crippled our country and left us vulnerable to an economic crisis and a national security crisis.

There is no reason the President should be able to sell one of our most strategic resources for political gain. Instead, the President should unleash American energy at home.

I urge my colleagues to support my amendment.

Mr. Chair, my Democrat colleague across the aisle pointed out exactly what I was saying, that the entire reason why President Biden released our very precious oil--that the American people paid for with their hard-earned tax dollars for our emergency reserves--the reason why it was released was to reduce gas prices before an election. Our Democrat colleague completely admits that.

He then goes on to blame the war in Ukraine for the reason that we have a low supply. Talk about serious.

Let's talk about the most unserious decisions: that the Senate would not take up this bill to protect the American Strategic Petroleum Reserves; that the Senate would not take up this bill and pass my amendment to stop any President, Democrat or Republican, from selling oil out of our SPR for political reasons; and to imagine that President Biden would say that he would not consider this bill.

President Biden is telling America that he doesn't care about our emergency supply or our national security. President Biden gives a serious, clear message to the American people that he will destroy the fossil fuel energy industry and that that will hurt every single American. There are no politics that can play with that.

Mr. Chair, I urge my colleagues to pass my amendment and H.R. 21.

Mr. Chairman, plans are extremely important, but, unfortunately, our President has given us no plan on how he will replace all of the oil--very important oil--that has been sold out of our Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

The American people are trapped on a journey in this country. The American people work hard every single day and pay their taxes, and their taxes have been abused. Their tax dollars were used to fill up the supply in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, and in 2 years' time, this President has sold out America by selling our Strategic Petroleum Reserves and creating a national security crisis for all of America.

I am introducing an amendment today that will require a leasing plan from day one of President Biden's Presidency, Inauguration Day, when this bill is enacted into law. President Biden will have to come up with a plan to tell the American people how he will clean up his mess and refill America's SPR.

Point of Order

Madam Speaker, I rise today to honor a man who devoted his life to the service and protection of our Nation, Judge Harold Murphy.

Born in Felton, Georgia, in 1927, Judge Murphy attended West Georgia College before serving in the Navy toward the end of World War II. He resumed his studies at the University of Mississippi and the University of Georgia's School of Law, where he graduated in 1949. He began a law practice in Haralson County, Georgia, and in 1950 was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives as the youngest member at that time.

Judge Murphy served five consecutive terms before stepping down in 1961 to focus on practicing law. In 1971, Judge Murphy was appointed by Governor Jimmy Carter to the Superior Court for the Tallapoosa Judicial Circuit. Following his election in 1976, President Carter nominated Judge Murphy to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. He was confirmed by the Senate on July 28, 1977.

For 45 years, he served his country on the Federal bench and became an acclaimed jurist and legal icon with a stellar reputation that extended far beyond Georgia. He always displayed a quick wit and a keen sense of humor, was kind and empathetic, and treated all those who appeared before him with courtesy and respect.

Judge Murphy once subpoenaed a talking myna bird who had ``witnessed'' a store robbery to testify in court. Judge Murphy's humor was only surpassed by his fairness and prudential impartiality. In fact, he is the only judge that was known to receive Christmas cards from inmates in prison that Judge Murphy himself had put away.

He was so excruciatingly fair and impartial that during one case he even talked the defendant out of a guilty plea. Judge Murphy worked tirelessly and carried a full docket until the age of 90, when he took senior judge status in the Northern District of Georgia. He continued to preside over cases until his death on December 28, 2022.

Judge Murphy received many professional awards and recognitions, including from the State Bar of Georgia and the University of Georgia School of Law.

In 2014, Alabama State University renamed its graduate school after Judge Murphy in recognition of his landmark ruling in Knight v. Alabama, a long-running case that the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals asked him to handle involving the vestiges of racial segregation then present in the Alabama University system.

Above all else, Judge Murphy was a loving and devoted husband and father, and a strong role model who made everyone who knew him in northwest Georgia proud.

The daily sight of Judge Murphy leading his gaggle of clerks to lunch on Broad Street will be deeply missed by the community in Rome that he loved so much and that loved him back.

The people of the 14th District of Georgia therefore urge the House to

pass this bill to name the building at 600 East First Street in Rome, Georgia, the Harold L. Murphy Federal Building and United States Courthouse.

Mr. Chair, before I discuss the details of my amendment, I want to applaud the new Republican majority for giving Members the opportunity to offer amendments in a more open process. The people's House has been broken for far too long, and I look forward to working with my colleagues in an open process for the remainder of this Congress.

I also want to thank Chairwoman McMorris-Rodgers for her leadership on this issue to put American energy first. I cosponsored this legislation because I believe it puts America back on track to regain energy independence.

This is such an important issue and critical piece of legislation that I believe we cannot stop short. We need to chart a path back to energy independence and ensure President Biden is not able to sell our critical oil supplies to China or any other rogue nation. President Biden used emergency authorities to sell hundreds of millions of barrels of oil to our enemies.

My amendment would prevent President Biden from claiming an emergency to further reduce our strategic oil supplies. This is why I filed impeachment articles last Congress against President Biden on the grounds that he endangered, compromised, and undermined the energy security of the United States by selling oil from the United States' Strategic Petroleum Reserve to foreign nations. President Biden has demonstrated that he will remain a threat to the national security of our country.

No President in the history of the United States has ordered a liquidation of the SPR on this scale. He sold 40 percent of our critical oil supply to trick and deceive the American people before the election. Rather than unleashing American energy here at home, he has robbed our country.

When President Biden took office in 2021, the SPR contained 638 million barrels of oil. Since then, he has slashed our oil inventory to 371 million barrels. He has decimated the SPR to the lowest level since December, 1983, before some Members of this body were even born. He shredded the offers from oil companies to resupply the reserve. He gave away 7 million barrels of our oil to a Communist Chinese state-run energy firm. The CCP had 1.2 billion barrels when Biden took office, they have even more now.

I cannot believe our President did that.

If we let President Biden continue to run our oil this way, we will have nothing left.

This has destroyed America's oil production. President Biden shut down the Keystone XL pipeline, destroying hundreds of thousands of American jobs.

President Biden has allowed the least amount of federal land for drilling since the end of World War II.

We are now producing 1 million barrels of oil less every day compared to when President Trump was in office.

Every country faces natural disasters.

Where will we get our oil next time we are in crisis?

Whom will we have to beg to get our oil?

China?

Iran?

The Saudis?

Venezuela--like the Biden administration has already done?

Or maybe even Russia?

President Biden's actions prove an intentional plot to destroy America's oil industry and usher in the climate cult's Green New Deal.

My amendment would simply strike the exceptions that Biden used to sell our oil.

The American people don't believe that the President should have the authority to declare an emergency for any reason and then sell our oil to our enemies.

Mr. Chair, I urge my colleagues to support my amendment, and I yield back the balance of my time.

Madam Speaker, today, I congratulate my alma mater, the University of Georgia, on their dominating victory over the TCU Horned Frogs in Monday's national championship.

Last year, the Bulldogs ended a four-decade-long national championship drought. This year, they became the first team in the playoff era to win back-to-back titles.

Coach Kirby Smart has built an incredible program with incredible players, several of which are from Georgia's 14th District.

Ladd McConkey, a graduate of North Murray High School in Murray County, Georgia, has started as wide receiver for two seasons at UGA. During his time as a Bulldog, he has amassed over 1,300 total yards and 15 total touchdowns, two of which came on Monday night.

Ladd is not the only outstanding player from Georgia-14. Tate Ratledge of Rome, Smael Mondon, Jr., of Dallas, Cole Speer of Calhoun, CJ Washington of Cedartown, Jonathan Washburn of Ringgold, and Cade Brock from Darlington School have all made our district proud.

Madam Speaker, I rise in support of this resolution.

Being a mother is the greatest gift in the world, and childbirth is a true miracle of God.

In 2019, pregnancy centers served roughly 2 million women, men, and youth. They provided services such as medical care, education, mentoring, and material support like diapers, car seats, and clothing.

From 2016 through 2020, pro-life pregnancy centers partnered with pregnant women at risk for abortion to save over 800,000 lives. Approximately 75 percent of women at risk for abortion who view an ultrasound of their baby in the womb at a pregnancy center ultimately make the choice to continue their pregnancy.

Merrick Garland calls parents who want to protect their kids from sexual indoctrination in schools domestic terrorists but refuses to protect facilities that help pregnant women carry their babies from being attacked by far-left extremists.

Since the Dobbs decision was leaked in May 2022 alone, approximately 40 churches and 60 pro-life pregnancy centers have been firebombed and vandalized across the country by pro-murder extremists. The costs of damages for each attack range from less than $100 to more than $250,000. Shameful.

Some of the things they have said--they have spray-painted on a church in Lansing, Michigan, ``abort the court'' and ``death to Christian nationalism.'' Death for Christians that care about our country? I don't think so.

They also caused $50,000 in damages in Bethesda, Maryland, setting fire to three churches. It is shameful.

Jane's Revenge, which is a terrorist group, said: ``If abortion isn't safe neither are you.''

Madam Speaker, I urge my colleagues to vote ``yes'' on this resolution.

Mr. Speaker, since 9/11 over 13.5 million border encounters have occurred at our border. Over 1 million Americans have died from drug overdoses, and CNN reports that the cartels take in $19 to $29 billion annually from drug sales to the United States of America.

Since 9/11 the United States has spent $8 trillion on foreign wars, and over 7,000 U.S. servicemembers have died defending foreign lands and foreign borders.

Now we have sent over $50 billion to Ukraine, and President Biden wants another $37 billion to Ukraine. This will be pushing it to over $90 billion.

Yesterday Democrats voted ``no'' on my House resolution to audit Ukraine. The American people deserve transparency and oversight on where their money is going.

I also want to point out that America deserves our borders to be defended so that if we are going to support any war, we should support a war on the cartels that are killing Americans and invading our country.

Madam Speaker, we have watched tens of billions of dollars be sent to defend another nation's border that is not our own.

Every single day, our border is invaded by people from foreign lands and also by drugs. Over 300 people are dying every single day. Americans are dying every single day from fentanyl poisoning.

Yet, the Biden administration and this Congress have not done anything to protect our Nation's border and the American people.

Just to remind everyone, the building that we are standing in, the Federal Government and everyone's paychecks here are paid by the American taxpayers. The American taxpayers and the American people deserve to have a secure border and deserve the protection of the Federal Government from the Mexican cartels that funnel drugs into America to kill Americans.

I am calling for an audit of every single penny that has been sent to Ukraine, including aid money and any other moneys that have been given to the Ukrainian Government to defend their national security while our national security has been ignored.

This must be done. It has to be done as soon as possible for the American people. They deserve transparency, and they deserve to see where their money is going.

Mr. Speaker, I rise in opposition of H.R. 302, Preventing a Patronage System Act. And the reason why I do so is that the executive branch needs to function in a way that helps the administration, the current President of the United States.

President Trump had an executive order to make a section called schedule F, where employees could be terminated. This is very important, and the reason why I say so is I am also a businessowner. And it is very important for any businessowner, any CEO, anyone running a company, to be able to terminate people working under them.

This is an important function of the executive branch. Preventing a Patronage System Act takes that away. It makes it to where they can put people into positions where you cannot fire them. That is wrong. This is not how the government should be working. It shouldn't be putting people in places, unelected bureaucrats, into positions and jobs where they cannot be terminated. Anyone should be fired.

You see, there is a reason why the American people call Washington D.C. the swamp, and it is not just because it is built on a swamp. It is called the swamp for a reason; because the American people see the government as a place where they call swamp creatures; they think they never leave.

In doing so, the Preventing a Patronage System Act, this bill will formally make it a Federal law in order to just make that happen.

You see, we really need a system in place. We need to make sure that we don't pass Federal laws where people cannot be fired. It should never be the case.

People should be fired if they are not doing a good job. People should be fired if they are not doing things effectively for the administration they work for. The President of the United States should be able to fire whoever he or she wants.

The Democrats want to pass this bill to empower Democrat operatives; people that they have hired; people that they have put in their administration; they want to make sure those Democrat operatives are there to be able to undermine the next Republican President of the United States. That should not be a Federal law.

And as a businessowner, I am telling you, it is so important to be able to fire people in your company that aren't doing a good job. And it should be no different for any President. The executive branch must be able to have people working there that can be terminated.

Everyone knows the movie ``Pirates of the Caribbean.'' And on the ``Black Pearl''--that is the second one--it has pirates on the ship that become part of the ship walls. Effectively, that is what H.R. 302 is doing.

The Preventing a Patronage System Act will make employees in the executive branch just that, part of the building walls, making it impossible to get rid of them.

So, for this reason, I oppose this bill, and I urge my colleagues to vote against it.

Madam Speaker, we are here debating about an assault weapons ban so that the chairman of the Committee on the Judiciary can campaign when he goes back home, which is really odd because in that district, in that area of New York, they don't seem to be suffering from as much crime as the rest of New York where people really do need guns to defend themselves or maybe the rest of America or like Atlanta in my home State of Georgia.

I will tell you something right now. I thank God for AR-15s because there have been a lot of people that have saved their own lives and defended others. I will remind you of a few.

How about an 8-month pregnant woman who saved her husband's and daughter's lives from home invaders who were trying to kill them? Thank God she had an AR-15.

Let me remind you of a man that had an AR-15 that was able to defend a church from a mass shooter who killed 26 people in the First Baptist Church in Sutherland, Texas. Thank God for his AR-15.

Let me explain something to my Democrat colleagues. You can pass as many gun control laws as you like, but no one will stop a murderer. No one is going to hand over a gun who has murder in their heart.

Do you think that your gun control laws are going to cause criminals to come running to hand over the AR-15s that they possess? No, I don't think so.

If you are concerned about protecting Americans and saving lives, stop voting to kill babies up until the day of birth. Care about those children and their body parts, and then do something about all the crime all over America that is affecting Americans every single day.

How about our border? How about our border being overrun with drugs and fentanyl and human trafficking? Do you care about those people, those migrants who are dying on the way because of your policies of open borders?

Oh, no, it is not the gun that is the problem. It is the policies. It is the policies that you are pushing right now that are hurting Americans and causing our children to not be safe.

Mr. Speaker, I am honored to stand here with my friends--Chairman Perry, Mr. Cawthorn, Mr. Good, Mr. Norman--in defense of our Second Amendment rights. I say this not only as a Member of Congress, but I say this as a woman, and I say this as a mother. I say this also as an adult who knows what it is like when my school was held hostage by another student with a gun, a very upset student.

It is not the guns that are the issue. It is the severe mental illness, the breakdown in America with our morals and our values, and this severe divide among all of us as Americans.

I want to add to this, and this is a story that I haven't even been able to share with my good colleagues here, but just this weekend, now that I am a Member of Congress, many of us get a lot of death threats, but one of my family members received a voicemail on their personal cell phone from a man saying very bad things about me, and then saying: ``This is what I am going to do to her,'' and he cocked a gun and shot it several times.

This is the type of threats I get, and it came with the threat of a gun. But I tell you this as a woman and a gun owner: I need to be able to have any kind of gun that I want to own to defend myself, to defend my family, to defend my home. God forbid if someone chose to do something to me.

You see, here is the issue: It doesn't matter how many gun control laws we put in place. It doesn't matter how many types of guns are banned. The criminals and the people who intend to do harm to others, those that would murder someone even if they could murder them with their bare hands, are still going to do it, and they are not going to be the ones that hand over their guns to the government. Oh, no, they are going to be keeping their guns so they can continue breaking the law.

We have guns coming across our border every single day illegally. We have terrorists who have been caught at our border, and then we have a lot of got-aways. We don't know how many of those are terrorists and what kind of criminals, how much human trafficking, how much child trafficking is happening down there. Crime is up in every single city, county, and small town across America.

Americans need their guns, and there should not be a ban on assault weapons because it is not about the gun or the weapon; it is about what is inside someone's human heart.

What we have to do is we have to stand in defense of and protect our Second Amendment because it is the most important freedom that we have. If we are unable to do that, and we lose it in the name of the so- called issues--what they are pointing at really is a tool. A gun is a tool. The gun doesn't get up and kill people on its own. It is the people who do it.

When you take away all the guns from the legal gun owners, the criminals will be the ones that are left with the guns. Then do you want to know what happens? Even if those guns are gone, they are still going to commit murder, and they will just use something else.

It is about elections. That is why they are trying to ban assault weapons, because inflation is out of control, crime is out of control, gas prices are difficult to afford. Now, our President is moving us on to some sort of clean energy that just will fail America even more.

This isn't what we need to do, and I am so happy that there are people here that want to stand in defense of people's gun rights.

Madam Speaker, I seek recognition for a question of personal privilege.

Madam Speaker, I would like to address the House and talk about how I have been mistreated as a freshman Member of Congress and how crimes have been committed against me. They have been caught by the Capitol Police. They have been sent to the Department of Justice. The Department of Justice is refusing to prosecute these crimes.

This is another example of the two-tiered justice system that we are living under right now under the Biden Department of Justice and Democrat leadership.

Now, I would like to go back to the beginning.

Many news articles have reported that this has happened to me. But I would like to remind the House that starting on February 4, as a freshman Member of Congress, I was kicked off committees by the Democrat majority and 11 of my Republican colleagues, unfortunately. So I serve here as a Member of Congress without committees representing my district. But I have continued to work hard.

I would also remind the House that on February 24, after we had voted on the Equality Act and we had been debating back and forth, I had made many statements based on my beliefs, based on Biblical truths, based on the beliefs of my district that I represent, that there are only two genders: Male and female. And I stand firm on that. But my Democrat colleague across the aisle placed a trans flag across the hall from my office to apparently, maybe, shame me for my vote.

That happened.

Then in response to that, I simply put up a sign outside my office responding to the flag. But it continued on.

There was also another incident on June 29 where one of my Democrat colleagues screamed at me in the Cannon tunnel, yelling and screaming at me for having a mask pulled down to my chin while I was talking on a Facebook live video. So all of it was caught on a video.

That Member then went to the Speaker and claimed that I had attacked her and was able to get her office moved because, apparently, she claimed I was a threat to her--where I was not--and she was given a security detail for her protection.

Then there were 73 Democrat colleagues who introduced a resolution to expel me from Congress.

I will tell you what that says. It simply says that, ``Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, be, and she hereby is, expelled from the House of Representatives,'' giving no reason whatsoever for this resolution, but yet, it is sponsored by 1 of my Democrat colleagues and cosponsored by 73 other Democrat colleagues.

Yet, I have done nothing wrong.

What else happened? Well, let's go a little further. I have over $100,000 in mask fines. And then when I went before the House Committee on Ethics on these mask fines, four of the five Democrats on the House Committee on Ethics also had their names on this resolution to expel me from Congress.

I asked them to recuse themselves, and they refused. Therefore, that wasn't very fair. That is not fair treatment.

I have even had my character attacked on the House floor, calling me horrendous names, horrible names, insulting names that aren't true about me at all, accusing me of things that I have never done, especially involving January 6.

Then there was even an effort recently to remove my name off of the ballot so that the people of my district couldn't even vote for me. And that came from a Democrat leftwing group that was funded by Democrats. I beat that in court.

All of this time, with all of these things happening, the media has promoted all of it. And because of this, I have had nearly 60 official death threats, 21 direct death threats--and there is a man from New York currently on trial for threatening to kill me--19 indirect threats--these are basically death wishes and harassment--and 8 sexually related threats, individuals that have made threats of sexual assault against myself and members of my family.

I will give you a few examples.

One person said, ``I need to F-ing kill you.''

Another one said, ``Marjorie Greene should find a bullet in her head.''

Another one said, ``I can't wait till you get raped until you are dead.''

And another threat said, ``I will come see you and your children''-- and it went on and on.

Now, all during this time, I have requested protection, saying I need help, I need protection. I don't feel safe in these buildings. I don't feel safe at all. And all of that has been denied. But I have watched many of my colleagues across the aisle in the majority party receive a lot of protection and help, but I have gotten none.

I want to go through some things that happened just recently. This sign seems to upset people so much, but it is a simple truth. That is an example of what I believe based on my Christian faith, based on what the Bible says in Genesis--that God created us in His image, male and female. He created us. And this is also the majority belief of the people from Georgia's 14th District.

This sign has been attacked repeatedly. As a matter of fact, it has been attacked 11 times. Nine times it has been vandalized, and twice it has been stolen. There has been a very specific series of attacks that have happened. There are seven of these.

January 25, 2022, was the first report of this type of destruction. Instead of people writing on it or stealing the sign, this was where someone decided to put a sticker on the sign using Bible verses to attack my Christian faith and covering mostly the word ``female.''

The sign destruction continued. Each time we would replace it, the same thing would happen again.

I want to remind everyone that this was when our House offices were still closed to the public. It was apparent that it was a staff member somewhere in our office building.

Again, it showed up, another sticker attacking my Christian faith, mostly over the word ``female.'' It happened on February 1, 2022, then on February 2, 2022, on February 22, and on February 28. Each time, the stickers were placed on the sign attacking my Christian faith. Even if I wrote something back, it didn't matter. Another sticker would appear.

Every single attack had to do with a Bible verse, and it was directed at me, maybe even a sticker of a picture of Jesus that said: ``I never knew you, MTG.'' That was on the previous one.

My staff and I had been communicating with the House Sergeant at Arms multiple times, but we were never getting a response. I had requested cameras multiple times but was not getting any cameras.

Finally, the House Sergeant at Arms came to my office, and I talked to them out in the hallway and was very loud in the hallway about my need for surveillance cameras because I have nothing to hide.

I am perfectly fine with all the cameras in this building and all the cameras in Longworth, where my office is. Myself and my staff have nothing to hide, but clearly, there are other people that do.

I was demanding surveillance cameras because this entire time this had been going on--at that point, it had been over a year. The person that was continually attacking the sign is also attacking me and is angry at me. I did not know if this was a person that I got in the elevator with alone. I did not know if this person was someone that I may be on an escalator with, passing in the hallway, passing on the stairwell. I didn't know if this was a person that personally knew me or someone I had never talked to in my life.

What I did know was the attacks kept coming. They would not stop. It was someone who worked in the building, and they clearly hated me. I felt very unsafe. I felt my life was in danger, especially with the amount of death threats that I receive against myself and my family and the complete refusal from the Sergeant at Arms and leadership to provide me with any kind of security or protection.

Finally, they put surveillance cameras up. That was installed by the House Sergeant at Arms on March 4. Guess what? Additional destruction continued. It happened again on March 10. How about that? Six days after the camera went up, the sign was attacked again, of course, against my Christian faith, attacking my religion, and always making sure it was somewhere covering the word ``female'' on the sign, attacking my gender.

This time, on March 10, there happened to be a camera installed. The suspect was caught on camera on March 10, and again, he was caught on camera on March 11. Two times in one week, he was caught. Do you know what? They didn't tell me who it was. They refused to tell me who this person was.

They caught him on camera. They issued an arrest warrant to the Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney's Office on March 15 for destruction of public or private property under D.C. Code 22-3312.01.

They caught him. They had it on video, knew who it was, and still refused to tell me. No one would tell me who this person is. I am still living in fear of: Who is this person? Why are they doing this? Are they possibly one of the people threatening my life?

To my extreme disappointment, I received a phone call from the U.S. Attorney's Office, who I thought for sure when I got on the phone and it was a woman, I thought she might have some sympathy for what I am going through. She let me know that the U.S. Attorney's Office is declining to prosecute any charges against this person, and they would not be following through. Even though they have it on video--they know exactly who he is, and he has clearly broken the law--they didn't want to prosecute it.

This is from our Department of Justice, the same Department of Justice that is not prosecuting people that are harassing our Supreme Court Justices and breaking Federal law, the same Department of Justice that is not keeping our borders safe, the same Department of Justice that is supposed to uphold all of our Federal laws for our country but not stopping the fentanyl crisis, and the same Department of Justice that isn't prosecuting crime, apparently, anywhere because crime is out of control.

They don't care about crime here in this place in Congress, in the Capitol complex. They only care about the people that definitely came in and walked around on January 6. If you are one of those people, they are prosecuting you to the hilt. Some of them are rotting in the D.C. jail now.

If you are a Republican Member of Congress and someone is stalking, harassing, attacking your gender, attacking your religion, they drop the charges. You see, that is a two-tiered justice system. I can't imagine why we are allowing that to happen.

The problem here is all the American people are paying their taxes, and the Department of Justice is receiving their full budget, but the Department of Justice is only prosecuting crimes that matter to half the country. That is a two-tiered justice system.

In order to have a justice system that is fair and good, and one that the American people can trust, it should be a justice system that prosecutes crime just because it is a crime, not based on a political party, not based on does it match up with the ideas or policies they agree with or the President that is in the White House or whoever is Speaker of the House or whoever is in leadership. It should matter that it is a crime, and they should prosecute these crimes. Unfortunately, that is not happening.

I did find out who this person is, and it is reported in the news. I did find out that it is Representative Jake Auchincloss' chief of staff. His chief of staff is the person that has been consistently attacking the sign, targeting me, and harassing me.

This is a chief of staff. This isn't a low-level staffer. This isn't an intern. This is a chief of staff, who has had quite a career here working in this institution and who knows better.

As a matter of fact, he fully believes that you shouldn't harass anyone over their religion or their gender or their sex or any of these things. He definitely believes in hate crimes because, previously, when he worked at another Member's office, when he was chief of staff in that office, there was a man that yanked down their pride flag outside their office, yanked it down and mistreated it. Well, Tim Hysom, the chief of staff at Jake Auchincloss' office, who has been targeting and harassing me, was so offended at that action that he and the other staff chased that man down the hall. They wanted the Capitol Police to arrest him and prosecute him. They wanted him prosecuted.

Yet, Tim Hysom, chief of staff for Jake Auchincloss, feels he is completely above the law. He feels and says that my sign saying there are only two genders, male and female, he says it is a statement of hate, and, therefore, he is entitled to attack me for it.

You see, that is complete hypocrisy. That is not the way this works. Why is one above the other? It shouldn't be. I thought, in America, aren't we all equal? Aren't all of our beliefs protected? Isn't our speech protected? Why is my religion under attack? Why is Christianity under attack? My belief in defending women's and girls' privacy rights in sports, why is that wrong yet it is okay for him to defend the pride flag and be angered and upset and want to arrest and prosecute someone when they attack it? It is a two-tiered justice system.

This is a man that I don't know; he doesn't know me. I didn't know who he

was until a few weeks ago. I had no idea. For a time, I have been in my office building many times late at night, but I don't go there by myself anymore because of this man right here.

I don't know if he is one of the death threats that have called my office. I don't know if he is one of the people that mail in disgusting, horrible things to me and my office. I don't know what else he would do because he feels he is above the law and beyond reproach.

I also don't understand why his boss, Representative Jake Auchincloss, still has him employed. I will tell you right now, if anyone in my office, if any of my staff, were to do what he has been doing to another Member of Congress, they would be fired. My staff would never do it.

Since early on in our term, when my colleague across the hall from me attacked me on Twitter by starting on my nameplate and turning the camera to herself where she planted the trans flag, no one in my office, none of my staff, has touched her flag, nor would we because we respect her freedom of speech and her right to have it there. We would not touch it.

That is not how I have been treated. I have been treated much differently. I have been attacked over and over and over and over.

Finally, when I got video surveillance cameras, the Capitol Police did a great job. They caught him. They issued a warrant for his arrest, and they sent it to the Department of Justice, but the Department of Justice doesn't care. Why? Probably because I am a Republican.

We don't have a Republican White House. We don't have a Republican- controlled Congress. Why should Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene matter? Apparently, I don't matter. My safety doesn't matter, and the beliefs of my district don't matter, not to the Department of Justice.

They have no interest in prosecuting Tim Hysom for attacking me seven times, twice caught on video. Nope. They don't care because half the country doesn't care.

Let's go a little bit further. There have been more things that have happened. I feel like it is almost like high school mean-girl behavior, but this is supposed to be Congress.

We also had a situation on June 16, just last week. There was a certain film crew that works for Stephen Colbert who had been basically stalking me all day long, going throughout, following us around here. My staff was very helpful in putting me in the car and keeping me away from them. They ended up outside my office, and my staff took me somewhere else so I didn't have to go there.

Now, we find out that it was a certain Democrat Member who is serving on the January 6th Committee who let them in the buildings. When the Capitol Police threw them out, it also happened to be Congressman Jake Auchincloss' and Tim Hysom's staff that let them back in late at night.

Madam Speaker, do you know whose office they were going to?

Mine. My office. So this is more behavior where I don't feel safe. I feel as if my life is constantly threatened. I am constantly harassed. This is no way for anyone to have to do work here. This place should not be run like this. This shouldn't be allowed.

Now, while the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol is currently accusing one of my colleagues, Representative Barry Loudermilk, of giving tours--which is a lie about him. They are lying about him and saying that he did something he did not do. They, at the same time, were letting these people in all of our office buildings. We don't even know where they all went. But they know, and the Capitol Police know. They were allowing them to go everywhere, as if they were doing some sort of insurrection.

Why is that being allowed?

Why do they get to have tours and free rein running all around the hallways and attacking Members' offices, but then we get accused of something horrible?

This is wrong.

Madam Speaker, do you know what people care about?

People care about inflation; they can't afford groceries; mothers can't find baby formula; women can't find tampons; people can't afford gas; people are so upset about crime; and people are so upset that no one cares that we even have a border. These are the things that people care about.

They don't care about the petty and ridiculous garbage that happens in this place. But this is what we are dealing with because the Department of Justice will not prosecute any of these crimes.

It is all about politics.

Aren't politics disgusting? I am so sick and tired of politics.

The whole reason why I ran for Congress is because I was upset that we are a Nation in debt that we will never be able to repay. I have three children--I hope to God I have grandchildren--and I don't know what is going to happen to their lives. I was upset because our economy is so fragile and is at risk of crumbling.

I was upset because our Nation had been shut down over a virus, and we should have never been shut down.

I was upset because I feel as if we have the greatest country in the world, but it is this place that doesn't respect it. I respect the American people far more than I respect this institution because the American people work their tails off. They pay their taxes. They balance their checkbooks, and they do everything they can to get by.

But here we play political games where chiefs of staff who know better attack women over our religious beliefs and about the fact that we refuse to back down about there only being two genders.

So if that is hate, if that is a comment of hate, am I going to end up being locked away in jail somewhere?

If so, Madam Speaker, you can put me in the dungeon, and I will still scream it from the pits of the dungeon of the jail because it is my belief and it is the truth.

Women are under attack and girls are under attack. We have no more rights because any man who decides that he calls himself a woman can invade our spaces. And any man--when we stand up against it--can attack us, and the Department of Justice will do nothing about it. What kind of Congress is that?

Aren't we supposed to be the body that legislates the laws, creates the budget, and funds the Department of Justice?

We are supposed to be. But, no, we are doing things like this.

So I get to go here. I am here at work this week. Tim Hysom is still chief of staff for Representative Jake Auchincloss. Representative Adam Schiff--who is currently on the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol and right now is lying about Republicans--who let in Stephen Colbert's gang of seven Democrat activist film crew still has his committee. I don't have committees.

This isn't how people should be treated. This isn't right.

Here is the other thing: It is not just I who feels this way. There are tens of millions of Americans--hundreds of millions of Americans-- who agree and who are tired of it, sick and tired of it.

So while this institution is making a mockery of itself with its Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol, the Department of Justice refuses to prosecute all of the BLM rioters. No. Their charges got dropped.

Everyone who did come in here and riot--and by the way, I didn't like it either. I didn't like it at all. It scared me a lot--but those people, oh, they have been charged. The Department of Justice will do that.

But they won't prosecute this man, and his boss won't fire him. No. He gets to keep his job.

Again, I want to remind you, Madam Speaker, if my staff--imagine--had attacked my colleague across the hall, had attacked her trans flag, I cannot even imagine what would happen to them. Not only would I have fired them, they would have been arrested. They would probably still be in jail, and their names, their lives, and every detail of their life would be spread all over the news. People would know where they went to elementary school, they would know their mom and dad, and they would definitely know their address, I am sure. They would have their phone number, and they would see every social media post, text, message or whatever. It would all be out there.

But, no, that is not how it works for us. And that is a two-tiered justice system.

The reason why I bring this up is the way that I have been treated-- mistreated really--since I came here as a freshman Member of Congress-- and I want to remind everyone that I have never been arrested. I have always paid my taxes. I have not broken the law. I have done nothing wrong. It is the majority party that doesn't like my speech. That is it.

So I have been kicked off committees. I have been routinely attacked. I have been lied about. My character has been completely destroyed, not only by people in here but the media definitely helps them. I have so many death threats that I have had to pay for my own personal security. Now the Department of Justice will not prosecute someone when they are caught committing a crime against me, against my gender, and my religion. They have been attacking me over and over and over again.

Do you know something, Madam Speaker?

The way this place treats me is exactly the way conservatives, Republican voters, and many Americans feel treated. They feel mistreated because this place only cares about itself. This place cares about what happens here and is so disconnected to farmers who are about to go out of business, mothers who can't find baby formula, and women who can't find feminine products.

All those border towns have been overrun, overrun, and overrun. They try to help the people so much. They can't even help anymore. The crime is increasing. We are sending billions and billions of dollars over for a proxy war with Russia and some other country to protect their borders, but we won't protect our own. The American people feel mistreated, the same way I feel mistreated.

It is completely wrong. It needs to change.

You see, Madam Speaker, this is a place where we should all be working together. It shouldn't be hard for Democrats and Republicans to come up with a budget that serves our country. It shouldn't be hard for us to work together to fund a Department of Justice that prosecutes crimes in America and crimes against Members of Congress. That should be something we care about.

This shouldn't be complicated; but somehow it is complicated, and it is all complicated because of the disgusting industry called politics. And that needs to change.

We are going to hit a point one day where the American people are so sick of us, are sick of Congress, and are sick of what happens here. We are going to hit a point one day where the American people will not only be sick of us, but they just won't trust us anymore.

And do you want to know something, Madam Speaker?

Madam Speaker, I don't blame them one single bit.

Madam Speaker, well, we don't agree on much these days here in Congress but I know there is one thing we all agree on. We all agree that we really like guns. See, we are the special privileged elites. We are the ones in this Chamber being protected by guns while the American people don't have men and women with guns outside their homes. Of course, not at any gun-free school zone they are not protected, nor at work.

But here at Congress, the same Congress that is voting to send just millions and millions of dollars worth of guns to Ukraine so that they can defend themselves is the same Congress working as hard as possible to take away the Second Amendment rights from Americans. You see, our job here is to protect rights like due process and the Second Amendment rights of Americans, not strip them away.

Red flag gun laws violate Americans' due process rights and this is the type of thing that we shouldn't be passing in this Congress, especially while we enjoy the very privileged elite special protection of guns.
