Mr. SALAZAR (for himself, Mr. Levin, and Mr. Warner) submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill H.R. 5631, making appropriations for the Department of Defense for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2007, and for other purposes; as follows: At the appropriate place, insert the following: Sec. __. Of the amount appropriated or otherwise made available by title II under the heading ``Operation and Maintenance, Air Force'', $10,000,000 shall be available to provide the United States Northern Command with an interoperable mobile wireless communications capability to effectively communicate with Federal, State, and local authorities. ______
