This bill lets the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) give the license holder of the Cannonsville Dam project more time to start building the project. It allows up to four additional two‑year extensions beyond the original deadline and lets FERC restore a license that may have already expired, treating the expiration date as the start of the first extension.

Key Provisions

  • FERC may grant the licensee up to four consecutive 2‑year extensions to begin construction of project #13287 at Cannonsville Dam, if the licensee requests it and proper notice is given.
  • If the construction deadline expired before this law was passed, FERC can reinstate the expired license and apply the first extension starting from the original expiration date.
