AI-Generated Summary

Updated April 16, 2026 at 12:42 AM UTC

This bill changes the Federal Assets Sale and Transfer Act of 2016 so that deadlines for the Public Buildings Reform Board are based on when the board members are appointed, giving the board enough time to carry out its duties. It also reorganizes part of the law’s wording to simplify the appointment process.

Key Provisions

  • Removes a subparagraph (B) from the appointment section and re‑labels the remaining clauses for clearer formatting.
  • Changes the deadline for ending the board’s authority from the law’s enactment date to the date the board members are appointed.
  • Updates the accounting‑system deadline in the same way, tying it to the board members’ appointment date instead of the enactment date.
