AI-Generated Summary

Updated November 24, 2025 at 2:29 AM UTC

This resolution tells the House to bring up another resolution, H. Res. 23, that would let parents vote remotely by proxy. It bypasses normal procedural hurdles, sets a one‑hour debate limit split between the majority and minority leaders, and removes a specific rule that would normally block the consideration.

Key Provisions

  • Orders the House to consider H. Res. 23 (which would allow parents to vote remotely by proxy) immediately, without any point‑of‑order objections.
  • Limits debate on the resolution to one hour, split evenly between the chair and the ranking minority member of the Rules Committee (or their designees).
  • Specifically says that clause 1(c) of Rule XIX does not apply to this consideration.
