Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize Tracy Y. Johnson for being named Okaloosa Support Staffer of the Year in recognition of her outstanding dedication and leadership.

Tracy exemplifies professionalism and a passion for serving others. Through her extensive training in early childhood education, staff leadership, and child development, she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to professional growth and the well-being of children and families.

Her numerous certifications and credentials, including her Child Development Associate Credential and Florida DCF Director Credential, further reflect her dedication to excellence and continuous learning.

Tracy's contributions, leadership, and commitment to those she serves make her truly deserving of this recognition. I congratulate her on this well-earned honor and thank her for the positive difference she continues to make in her community.

Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize Michael A. Aaron for more than 30 years of fire and rescue service, serving the people of Northwest Florida and along the Gulf Coast.

Since beginning his career in 1994, Michael has answered the call to serve in volunteer county, municipal, and federal fire-service roles. For more than three decades, he has put others before himself and helped protect the communities he calls home.

Michael recently earned his Chief Fire Officer designation from the Commission on Professional Credentialing and will graduate from Columbia Southern University on October 23 with a Bachelor of Science in Fire Department Administration, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA.

I am proud to recognize Michael for a career built on service, public safety, sacrifice, and a commitment to his fellow Americans. We owe a debt of gratitude to men and women like Michael who choose to serve and protect their communities.

I thank Michael for 30 years of answering the call.

Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the life and legacy of George Koikos, a true legend of the Tallahassee restaurant industry and someone I am proud to call my family.

George is my cousin through marriage and came to America from Greece to build a life rooted in the American Dream. He opened The Spartan Restaurant in 1969, followed by Brothers Three, Torreya Grill, and other successful restaurants before founding Georgio's Fine Food & Spirits, which became a Tallahassee institution.

Long before hospitality management schools were commonplace, George helped shape the restaurant industry through his unmatched commitment to his customers and employees.

Throughout his career, he had the privilege of serving Governors, United States Senators, Members of Congress, and legendary football coaches, while becoming a trusted and beloved fixture in the Tallahassee community.

George leaves behind his beloved wife, Karen Koikos, and his three daughters, Katerina Maroney, Leni Spears, and Nikoleta Koikos. He also leaves behind countless friends, employees, and members of the community who were fortunate enough to know him.

I am grateful for the memories I have of George and for the legacy he leaves behind. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mr. Speaker, I ask my colleagues to join me in honoring the life of George Koikos. May he rest in peace.
